Local filmmaker premieres "From Suffering to Satori" this Sunday

See filmmaker Courtney Scott's documenatry that was inspired by Portland's most famous elephant, Packy. This film was recently shown at the Awareness Film Festival in Los Angeles, and now has its Portland premiere at the Mission Theater.
Seven years in the making, "From Suffering to Satori" chronicles one woman's journey to awareness about the plight of captive animals... and the healing effects of the bond between humans and the rest of the animal kingdom.
A benefit for FOZE, Free the Oregon Zoo Elephants, a 501(c) 3 organization
