trying to download old Indymedia films Circa 2002-2004

I can not for the life of me, figure out how to download the films using Torrent or Magnet programs, I have tried on several different computers, I think there is a bug, does anyone have hard copies or a way to upload them to youtube or trade? I would be willing to pay for the time to get me all of the Portland Indy-Media films

Lots of our vids are on YouTube, some are on video archive. Those old bitorrent links don't work. Don't pay anyone for copies... our work was never for sale and I'm tired of people unscrupulously profiting from vids I made. Giving someone a blank DVD or paying for the blank DVD is fine, but don't let anyone charge you more than that. (I've actually had people take vids I gave them for free, then make copies of them and sell them for personal profit. Bleck.)

Most of the good ones we did are on YouTube (search, for instance, for "Pharaoh's Army 1st half" and "Pharaoh's Army 2nd half"...gotta put in 1st half and 2nd half or you get like 300 other films.) Fuck the Corporate Media is there, and 28 Seconds, the Killing of Fouad Kaady, and a buncha others.

There are a couple on this site too, including this one, Day X:Archive.org/details/vftr_dayx.

I don't think you'll find a lot of the student protest ones or workers rights or art ones online... mostly anti war and police violence ones. Wish I knew where the dumpstering ones are. If you find those ones please post the link! :-)

Day x is linked above. As mentioned, few of the student demo vids made it online. I don't know of any that did. (In between longer or more refined vids, we did weekly short news pieces from around the city that were often done in a hurry at the last minute just to get the stories out. They were often so fast and short that they weren't what we considered archival quality. We were also working without a lot of resources, so we sometimes just reused the tapes they were on, and as we were a small band of volunteers, there often wasn't anyone around to put them online first. Most of the weekly-news vids like the student demos or the janitor strikes or things like that are gone I think.)

Try doing refined Google searches, putting in portland indy video collective, or portland vftr. You might find something. Not sure.
