-Aubrey and Becky nearly drove to Washington twice to bring you a check for your ridiculous fees and when Aubrey tried to pay it she was kept locked out of your office being laughed at and heckled. How can you be so cruel and unprofessional?
-Your negative reference and ridiculous fees almost lost them their prospective home. Aren't you ashamed of making it so difficult for this family to find new housing?
-Do the right thing! Repay Aubrey and Becky their inflated food costs and drop the unfair fees!
Aubrey and Becky were 11 year tenants at Rose Tabor Courts, managed by Fox Management Inc. Over the course of their tenancy they experienced an array of habitability issues from rampant mold that went unaddressed to a broken refrigerator that ran up their food costs by hundreds of dollars. When Aubrey and Becky confronted their manager Kallie Caito about the issue, they were met with blank expressions and served a 60 day no cause eviction notice the next day.
Since the Demand Delivery Aubrey and Becky went to court for their eviction notice and had their move-out date extended by three weeks! We attribute this to the pressure and attention that has been given to their case since the start of the campaign. Kallie Caito has also commented on an online blog post about the campaign, comparing Portland Solidarity Network to "the Westboro Baptist Church" and "George Bush looking for weapons in Iraq". Aubrey and Becky had been having trouble finding affordable housing for themselves and Aubrey's teenage daughter and had finally found a place that they were confident about getting into. They were informed shortly later that their rental application had been denied because Fox Management gave them a negative reference, stating that they were "dodging rental fees". To avoid being house-less Aubrey and Becky borrowed hundreds of dollars to pay these "fees" and drove to Washington to receive the check. When Aubrey tried to pay Fox at their office, she was not allowed to enter and told to bring a different form of payment. Fox Management employees then laughed at and heckled Aubrey from behind locked doors, telling her to leave. Please call in and make your voice heard! Tell Fox to do the right thing! Reimburse Aubrey and Becky for food costs, and drop the unfair fees!
