I will be wearing it a lot for the next two years.

I am reminded of the saying,* "Beware of the Ides of March" as I look back to last week, which for me started by watching a foreign leader tell our congress of these United States that we are fools, and he did it to standing ovations, a lot of standing ovations by our representatives and senators; it was shameful. My sincere hope is that bibi natanyahu goes home to Israel, gets defeated, and goes the way of g.w. bush. The 15th of March is only a few days away, maybe a week depending on when you read this and I fully expect Caesar, AKA char-lie the hales, will announce he will become emperor of Rome. I know he is raising lots of money to screw over us for four more years, yes "Beware of the Ides of March" my friends. The second event was the city council meeting on the 5th seemed like a boring meeting unless you were hoping that the plan for the West Quadrant would be to your liking, on Thursday one of my friends asked me to join him and then did not show up, but I did learn some stuff. I learned that four of the five sh-ts were in the pockets of the big developers; deep in those pockets. The only person standing with the people, who testified, about 30 of them, was once again Commissioner Amanda Fritz. It was fascinating to watch, this had to do with building limits on the west side around the Pearl District and the waterfront. Char-lie the hales along with the other members of the shady/corrupt council did not care about height, did not care about low income housing and even danny boy, the jester of the hales court, said something of interest like, what is the matter with building tall buildings near our river; skylines are good\\\\\\\? I laughed but inside cried a bit. Commissioner Fritz attempted to put some amendments in but was cut off and received no support from the other 4 sh-ts. My understanding was that Fritz was furious, and I can testify that steam was coming out of her ears a few times during the meeting. I thought at one point I should loan her my pocket constitution so she could throw it at char-lie the hales. This seems to be a good article from that conservative paper:

Thursday morning was filled with a day that makes me smile, usually. I was at the county board meeting with other members of the Thursday Troublemaking Team. The big item there was outlawing the use of e-cigarettes in all places that smoking is prohibited by law now; there was a problem as the shops who sell vaporizing stuff were not amused. There were about 75 to 100 people who came to ask for a modification of the proposed ordinance/resolution. They wanted to be able to instruct new uses in the proper way to use their product and to do that they needed to be able to show the customer how they had to set up the equipment. Seemed logical to me but alas all 5 commissioners said no. I did not have a horse in this race because I don't smoke or use e-cigarettes. I do have a concern that we pass laws trying to help people and sometimes we go too far. The exception for the dealers to instruct their customers indoors should have been granted but even the county commissioners, whom I do kind of like, make bad decisions and I think this was one of them. I will not lose sleep over it but I did not like the reasoning that came from any of the commissioners, it sounded like BS. I took some time off last week and skipped things that I wanted to attend but I was too tired to do so. Sorry.

Next Thursday we will be going after the lack of opportunities for the homeless to charge their cell phones. There was a good article in Street Roots about this last week and we will be yelling about it to the commissioners who have a hand in this nonsense. Here is the street Roots article.

Please buy the paper, number one the articles are good and number two you help out a bit. I go out of my way to say hello and try to give the paper person a few bucks for coffee. But I think stopping and saying hello is very important and it will make you smile. Remember doc joe says, "Smile three time a day and wrinkles will go away."

*From Wikipedia: In modern times, the Ides of March is best known as the date on which Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC. Caesar was stabbed to death at a meeting of the senate. As many as 60 conspirators, led by Brutus and Cassius, were involved. According to Plutarch,[15] a seer had warned that harm would come to Caesar no later than the Ides of March. On his way to the Theatre of Pompey, where he would be assassinated, Caesar passed the seer and joked, "The ides of March have come," meaning to say that the prophecy had not been fulfilled, to which the seer replied "Aye, Caesar; but not gone."[15] This meeting is famously dramatised in William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, when Caesar is warned by the soothsayer to "beware the Ides of March."[16][17] The Roman biographer Suetonius[18] identifies the "seer" as a haruspex named Spurinna.
