We will be meeting at Elephant Park (NW 8th & Burnside) on November 5th @ 1pm.
Further details will be released as we get closer to the day of the event. However, one detail we can release is that we will once again be collecting blankets, food, warm clothes, and other supplies. This year's Million Mask March will also be the first event of #OpSafeWinter for the season, so after the initial rally we will be delivering these donations to Right 2 Dream Too.
At the end of the march, we will be having a rally and feast for marchers and any other hungry people who find their way to us. So far, ¿Por Que No? Taqueria and Addy's Sandwich Bar are sponsoring the feast.
Last year was a huge success, with over 300 people showing up, so let's try to at least double that this year!
This march is focused on bringing activists of every color & focus together to share information and positive energy, showing the power of free & caring people, and celebrating the rising consciousness of the human race.
This is a completely peaceful, non-violent event. Do not bring negative energy or intentions that would be dangerous to yourself or others around you. Not only is aggression exactly what the police & media want you to give them, but it makes people completely overlook your message.
Bring a mask (if you don't have one, there will be 500 Guy Fawkes masks on hand), your voice, a sign, a musical instrument, a smudge, a donation of food, warm clothes, blankets, or other survival supplies... and a friend (or 2)! Bring anything you think will add to the positive energy of the day and spread the message of freedom, love, peace, and positive change!
Please feel free to bring flyers, stickers, or anything else to give to other attendees and the general public. If it's important to you, come share it with other open-minded, caring people. Want to give a speech? You can. Want to sit in the back and just take it all in? That's great too.
Keep checking back for more information & updates about the event. If you've got an idea, please share it!
Until then brothers & sisters, keep up the good fight. Remember that EVERY thing you do changes the world, whether it's smiling at strangers, feeding a hungry person, tagging an overpass, buying soap that isn't tested on animals, or talking to a co-worker about the importance of eating organic & non-GMO.
Be the change you want to see in the world!
