The Fifth Estate (only 1,769 theaters) whose trailers and TV ads were as misguided as WikiLeaker Julian Assange. Hollywood sees this weekend playing out as follows; Gravity #1 again with another great hold and $30M weekend, Carrie #2 with low $20sM, Sony holdover Captain Phillips #3 with high teens, Escape Plan #4 with around $11M, and The Fifth Estateout of the Top Five completely. Don't expect it to open with the best per screen average, either.

Cumberbatch's subtle and intriguing performance as the inscrutable Aussie loner behind WikiLeaks is surrounded by a plodding and minor melodrama that's ludicrously ill suited to the material.
It's ironic that Alex Gibney's recent WikiLeaks doc uploads the same material with more dramatic oomph. The Fifth Estate is stuck running in place.
A film that, for all its restlessness, feels staid and dated.
