One, President Obama is the first mixed race African American president. African Americans are a highly sought after voting group. Actually that's not true Democrats ignore African Americans except during campaign season and only then inflame racial tensions in an effort to get them to the polls and milk votes from them. Republicans ignore African Americans because they don't believe its possible for them to vote in mass for Republicans, and because Latinos are the future.
African Americans as with the rest of America overwhelming do not support attacking Syria.
Two, Our collective liberal white guilt will not allow us to call in incompetent authoritarian of so-so intelligence what he actually is because of the pigment of his skin and the fear we have of being labeled a racist, which if you think about it, by basing our decision on the color of skin makes us racists.
But wait, what do you mean of so-so intelligence, he graduated Harvard and was President of Harvard law review. The first African American to hold that title. So how do we know that those professors and students that chose him, didn't suffer from the same liberal white guilt? Did they get so caught up in making a black the "FIRST" this or the "FIRST" that, they ignored his shortcomings? Did they turn his Cs into As? Is this why he won't' release his college transcripts from Occidental, NYU or Harvard?
So what does this have to do with attacking Syria? Perhaps we can excuse incompetence in setting up a more expensive heath care system than we already have, or pissing away trillions of dollars our grandchildren will be paying for their entire lives, but we won't excuse attacking a country that hasn't attacked us with no actual plan other than trying to allow President Obama to turn his C into an A.
That's not much of a case for attacking Syria, but more of an explanation.
