Do I have a legit reason to be paranoid?

fbi computers and indy media
Indy techs I have a question I hope you can answer. I have always made it a practice to delete any and all subject titles and signatures I use to post a message or reply on PIM. For at least a month now I am unable to delete either one. The lines that contain the "subject" and "author" are now grey in color and cannot be removed from my computer. Why is this suddenly occurring? Has anyone else mentioned this? I am fully aware that the government can and does monitor the site and can and does know who posted what but I always delete these two items for no other reason that it allows me a little sense of false security. Anyone out there know why this might be happening?

How NSA access was built into Windows
Duncan Campbell 04.09.1999
Careless mistake reveals subversion of Windows by NSA.

A CARELESS mistake by Microsoft programmers has revealed that special access codes prepared by the US National Security Agency have been secretly built into Windows. The NSA access system is built into every version of the Windows operating system now in use, except early releases of Windows 95 (and its predecessors). The discovery comes close on the heels of the revelations earlier this year that another US software giant, Lotus, had built an NSA "help information" trapdoor into its Notes system, and that security functions on other software systems had been deliberately crippled.
You think they don't know everything?

Just me

Yes,but this has just started on my 3 year old computer. When I click onto the "Title" or "Comment" lines to delete my handle it turns a grey color so I cannot remove either one.Am probably being overly sensitive but would still like to know why this is occuring.IndyMedia folks still have not offered up an explanation.
