Portland Fruit Tree Project is currently accepting applications for four internship positions (three Community Harvest interns and one Development & Outreach intern.) See below for more details ... Development & Outreach Internship Summer-Fall 2013 The Development & Outreach Intern will assist with fundraising and resource development to support Portland Fruit Tree Project's growing programs. The intern will also assist with outreach to spread the word about PFTP, and bring diverse participants into our programs. This will be an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and communications, while making a difference for PFTP and the communities we serve. Time commitment: 12-20 hours per week, for 6 months (schedule is somewhat flexible, 372 total hours minimum). June 18th -Dec 18th, 2013 Location: You would be working primarily out of PFTP headquarters in NE Portland. This internship is unpaid, but the rewards are many - including a great learning experience and the unique opportunity to be a part of a vibrant and growing organization. Of the three interns, each will take a lead role coordinating one of the following: our Food Preservation Workshop Series, Tree Scouting & Tree Registration program, and our Community Outreach program. Time commitment: 12-20 hours per week, for 6 months (June 18th to December 20th) Location: You would be working primarily out of PFTP headquarters in NE Portland, but will be traveling throughout the City of Portland for site visits and harvesting events. This internship is unpaid, but the rewards are many - including a great learning experience and lots of delicious fresh fruit!
