The propaganda system is the solitary voice of absolute authority for society. This is one of the main causes for the destruction of society... ,

because this voice is far too narrow, and despite its obvious failings, due to its narrowness, the social power structure manages to hide these dismal failures from the public, ie the public is confused and is willing to follow an authoritative voice.
But clearly the leadership, the owners of society, or that handful of people controlling important social institutions and controlling social power within society, is even more confused, and they simply maintain the narrow social structure from which they derive their social power. Thus, leading to social failure, but there is an inertia of a relatively stable life-style within which people continue to exist, ie the same effect that the Roman-Empire had on the regions which they controlled, regions whose communities they made stable and narrowly focused and compartmentally organized, which when such a social structure is maintained, it can be turned into markets and cycles of investments.
The form (template) which the ruling class follows in its propaganda strategy is the Hegelian dialectic opposites of science and religion (which developed as the printing-press, banking, science, and religious reform also developed), and the extreme violence and associated inequality which has been modeled after (or more accurately followed) the social structure of the Roman-Empire.
However, science has failed, it is not capable of describing the stable fundamental physical systems which exist at all size scales, eg nuclei to solar systems etc. and, that these systems are stable, in turn, implies that these systems are quantitatively consistent and controllable, ie these are the simplest of the math patterns. Nonetheless, physical science and biology are both based on the quantitative (math) models of indefinably random descriptive contexts, along with the quantitatively inconsistent non-linear constructs.
These ideas are presented as vague ideas within complicated contexts, so as to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.
Nonetheless physical science is serving the current needs of business production.
Biology is based on the story about (narrow) competition and the survival of the strongest, or most virtuous (ie those who are superior, ie it is used as a basis for social inequality), where this idea is explored on a molecular descriptive context.
This model is so abstract and complicated, that one must ask, "How can one take it seriously?" especially since living systems have an almost absolute control over themselves, which again implies a very simple quantitatively consistent and controllable descriptive context (at some level of system organization).
This same scenario of baffling complexity, is also used in the political media, where there are vague ideas about inequality, eg the need for competitions, ie competition fits into narrow rigid dogmatic contexts, and vague ideas about "the market" and its related economic quantitative properties, but the basis for these economic quantities are arbitrary-value, which are created by a propaganda system, ie the quantitative structure of the market or the economy is arbitrary and unstable.
But associated with the political media is religion, with its basis in arbitrary morality, in the catholic church the spirit is dependent on a person's relation to the church, while in (Calvinistic) Protestantism, a guiding principle (in regard to the virtue of a person's soul) is success in business or success in the military (ie can a community get what it wants by violence or investment?), though this relation between spirit and social success within a narrowly defined society, would be implicit in the catholic church too.
The Roman emperor Constantine made the Christian Bible a handbook which supports Empire.
The Roman-Empire also provided the violence needed to create and maintain stable social conditions, and separation of a narrow set of skills, which together got organized around markets and investments.
Essentially, around the 1400's the bankers took-over the emperor's-seat from the Roman-Empire, eg Constantinople (the center of the Roman-Empire) fell around 1450.
From these absolute institutions of science and religion, both failed institutions, where religion is all about vague abstract promises, but its descriptions have no practical value, they only have social-value in regaqrd to social manipulations within the propaganda systems. Within these contexts of absolute, but arbitrary, authority (of both science and religion) the propaganda system weaves the absolute truth which best serves the interests of the chief investors in these narrow social structures of business and its relation to community interpreted as a narrowly defined market (so that investment risks are small), and the propaganda system endows the communities with their faithful attempt, to strive for (a narrow range of) societal success, ie serving the interests of the owners of society, ie since the private bankers own the media instruments.
Inequality leads to failure of society, including the failure of the cultural knowledge, where this cultural knowledge has been stolen from the culture by means of copy-right laws, whereas society is stolen from the public, by having law based on property rights, and by an associated form of organized violence, ie the usual traditions of the Roman-Empire, where there are many hidden groups which can be activated to administer focused terrorism onto the public.
Note: Today's (2013) ruling business class developed the relation that the basis of their engineering had to "new" products was developed in the 1800's, when the US big businesses were developing. Thus, the business ruling class today has an engineering relation with the classical physics of the 1800's. Subsequently, little new technical innovation has occurred since the 1800's, and though micro-chip development was slightly significant, S Jobs and (less significantly) B Gates entered the business scene, but it was still based on the science of the 1800's, but it has been organized as a spying device for military and propaganda control of the public. Note: The social structure only allows individuals to rise to power, this allows for more control from above and it selects domineering personality types.
In an unequal society, controlled by propaganda and violence, one cannot express a new descriptive truth which is contrary to accepted dogma, since social relations are managed and controlled by both language and violence, eg intellectual domination, since such a new truth would undermine:
The value structure of society
The ability to control and manage language within society
and
Thus, it would undermine
The social inequality of the society,
unless the provider of the new truth sought personal aggrandizement, and used the social structure to
become a dominant player within the unequal society.
The power of the ruling class in an unequal society, in a society ruled by a few, rests on dogmatic absolute truths expressed by the propaganda system, and these truths can be organized around the dual truths of science and religion, or materialism and (arbitrary) morality.
The experts in this game are numerous, they are aspiring, ambitious, competitive types, most often with social advantages from the start, who seek recognition of being of high-social-value and they are people who may think that they are seeking truth or the more powerful are those authoritarian domineering types, those whose personalities are suited for an unequal society. Psychopathy seems to be a learned behavior which can become well rewarded in an unequal society, where authoritarian domineering types seem to be the personality types who end-up on the mythical "council of planners." For example, E Teller in conjunction with the military, turned university physics departments into bomb engineering departments. As well as JD Rockefeller and the Bankers etc.
As S Jobs (remember S Jobs was a manager for micro-chip development) once said, despite the hype, "these people are not all that impressive," rather they are manipulated by propaganda and social power, in a social structure which suits their domineering personalities, so as to become the personal face of the same narrow dogmas which were forced upon them, and by their intent to dominate, and yet obey the Empire, they have acquired the reins of social control, where the complete failure of their endeavors are obvious to see, yet they (the propaganda system) falsely claim "to help so many people, by efficiency and inventiveness" in their superior positions where they manage other superior people,
rather there is:
Destruction of people and resources,
failure to invent
failure to "market" well intended products,
... , in a society based on mistrust jealousy and violence, and
a society which is intellectually fitted to a straight-jacket.
Where development and control of the food system has been their strategic focus (both markets and militarily), and it is still organized similar to how the Roman-Empire organized the food system.
That is, the bankers are the Augusta Caesars in essentially the same social structure which is ultimately based on violence and the control of the solitary voice of absolute authority (ie the propaganda system).
That is, it is a system designed to serve and maintain the power of the few, and their world design is too narrow and exploitative, ie it is based on absolute truths which are not true, so it consistently fails, while it continues to float upon the, essential, social structure of the Roman-Empire: food, transportation, water, sewers, a nod to (civic) art and cultural-entertainment, and old engineering traditions which can be fit into the power structure of the Empire.
The narrow structure of this social structure demands expansion, and thus it also demands continual war with those with no (or very little) social power, ie war on those who do not directly serve the Empire's interests.
Essentially, a society cannot realize a measurable described truth which is practically useful unless the society is an equal society.
This is the essential conclusion of Godel's incompleteness theorem, which states that precise languages have limits to what patterns which they are capable of describing, so practically useful precise language, related to measurable, useful, informative, and couple-able descriptions, must be continually renewed, based on new: assumptions, contexts, and interpretations, etc, ie the language needs to be built from an elementary level, and everyone is well equipped to join-in on the game.
