An Icon Misunderstood

Guy Fawkes was a Catholic terrorist.
He was handled by Jesuits, like Adam Weishaupt. It was the third attempt on the royal family but the only time someone tried to blow up all of someone's parliament and the man who sat on the throne was King James II and he dared to re-translate the bible in an era of papal supremacy, maintaining the older mystical elements instead of obscuring them. He also advocated for trade unions, free education for all, and a minimum wage.

Aristocracy, monarchies, and the Catholic Church have always been on the same side and as you can see from what is above and largely unknown, the Gunpowder Treason & Plot was about the same old clash. If there had been witch hunts against socialism then, King James would have been labelled one.

You've made me curious about James, & i'll check our Library for books about him. Exceptions to what's usual are always interesting.
