"Let us put fluoride in our drinking water"
Portland, Oregon 02/21/2013
One of the worst decisions by our 5 shi-s who meet on Wednesdays, mostly to tell each other how wonderful they are. I am so sick of these council members telling one another what a good job they are doing, sometimes I just want to vomit. Adding fluoride to our wonderful pure drinking water should get all who voted for it run out on a rail, but no--we keep sending them back to do more crap, like rejoining the JTTF and watching the FBI spy on us. The anti-camping ban is not just something annoying, it kills. The sit-lie-lie ordinance is a direct attack on the poor. But what the hell, these representatives think they are doing good---but for who? As my friend and lover just said, "There ain't many rich people sitting on the curbs." So keep fighting and never, never worry about being wrong, if you are they will make you mayor. Did I tell ya that the mayor took the money away from the summer work program for our kids---he waited all of two weeks before screwing over kids, "Isn't that special."

Thoreau may have also brooded over the reaction of Emerson, who criticized the imprisonment as pointless. According to some accounts, Emerson visited Thoreau in jail and asked, "Henry, what are you doing in there?" Thoreau replied, "Waldo, the question is what are you doing out there?"
Molly Ivins, "It's like, duh. Just when you thought there wasn't a dime's worth of difference between the two parties, the Republicans go and prove you're wrong."
