International day of action against Police Brutality

March 15th is international day against police brutality.
The 15th of March is International day of action against police brutality. It was created in 1997 in Switzerland, when Swiss police beat 11 and 12 year old children savagely. COPB(the collective against police brutality) in Montreal and Black Flag in Switzerland, organized the first events in 1997, and has had relative success since. Portland doesn't exist in a vacuum, we see incredible amounts of violence and harassment by our police. Who could forget the horrific killings of Keaton Otis and Aaron Campbell in 2010, or the brutal repression of the occupy encampment and subsequent actions after the eviction. Pepper spray and Batons is how the "respect and protect" protests. Beatings and Killings are doled out to our houseless and communities of color, while smugly evicting families from homes. Let's show the world that we are in opposition to Police violence and coercion. We are in solidarity with communities resisting police. There are no meetings or people to contact, this is up to everyone to make it whatever it will be. We encourage folks to make posters, talk to friends and family, banner drops, or whatever you can come up with. We support diversity of tactics. Hope to see many of you in the streets. Holladay park at 8 on the 15th of March
