The former Ohio congressman, who ran for president unsuccessfully in 2004 & 2008, will make his debut as a paid Fox News contributor on Thursday's "The O'Reilly Factor." Kucinich has signed a multi-year deal with the network and will make appearances on both Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, according to a press release.
"I've always been impressed with Rep. Kucinich's fearlessness and thoughtfulness about important issues," Fox News chair and CEO Roger Ailes said in a statement. "His willingness to take a stand from his point of view makes him a valuable voice in our country's debate."
And Kucinich, who lost the 2012 Democratic primary in Ohio's 9th district and left office earlier this month, said he was looking forward to working as a contributor on a network that has long provided him with a platform to discuss his political views.
"Through 16 years in Congress and two presidential campaigns, Fox News has always provided me with an opportunity to share my perspective with its enormous viewership," Kucinich said in a statement. "I look forward to a continuation of our relationship this time as a Fox News contributor."
