Israel Lobbyist suggests False Flag attack to start war with Iran

Doing a provocative action, especially one that appears to offer a juicy target, is called "trailing the coat". Unrelated to a "false flag" operation which means carrying out a fake attack on oneself with the attackers apparently being the desired opponents.

A "trailing the coat" operation is intended to elicit a REAL attack by one's intended opponents. May be a nasty way to take advantage of intended opponents who lack the self restraint not to get sucked in but is (usually) a legitimate tactic.
