Public Hearing On Hanfordís Dangerous Waste Permit!

The Washington Department of Ecology is holding a public hearing in Portland on Thursday evening to get your input on Hanford's dangerous waste permit, which Ecology is reissuing. The hearing will be held in the Marquam Room at the Ambridge Event Center in downtown Portland. The address is 1333 NE MLK Jr. Blvd. Visit www.trimet.org for public transit information. If you're driving, parking is free at the Ambridge Center!
Doors open at 6 p.m. The hearing begins at 7 p.m. with a short presentation from Ecology followed by a local perspective on the Hanford permit from Dan Serres of Columbia Riverkeeper. Ecology will then answer questions on the permit before formal comment is taken. The hearing will end at 9 p.m.
