"You never want a serious crisis to go to waste."
I think most people reading this probably get it: the national elections are a joke and our democracy is in crisis. The 2012 election, more than previous ones, exemplifies that the two major political parties have more similarities than differences, as the most controversial issues, again, are being ignored. Delegates from both national parties left their conventions confused and distrustful. Romney and Obama are representing the same fundamental platform that has gone unchallenged for years. Neither side of this election is looking to tap "community activists" for their election, as both are running a campaign based upon cult of personality, not policy.
The Obamney 2012 campaign is about raising awareness to our democrat crisis: choosing between virtually identical political parties and candidates is not an election. I want to highlight the similarities in these two candidates in order to expose the very real crisis of our democracy.
I'm interested in working with anyone to develop this idea further. I'm especially interested in artists and pamphleteers to design and put up flyers mimicking national election posters. Though, I'm open to embrace any tactics or ideas that individuals or groups are willing to work on collectively or autonomously.
Are you tired of joke elections, sick of the democrats and republicans football game, and just tired of pointless politics? Let's come together for an open discussion, brain storming session, and find ways we can support each other's efforts. No experience necessary, fun for all ages.

This will be a short and fast moving project, as we are approximately 8 weeks from the election.
