Portland Water Fluoridation lobbyists threaten to fluoridate city water

Randy Leonard again hell bent on destroying Portland.
Oregonians too cheap for fluoride mouthwash; Nick Fish sees few options.
Oregonians too cheap for fluoride mouthwash; Nick Fish sees few options.
Oregonians too cheap to buy Fluoridated mouthwash, so Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish feels fluoridating Portland's water is the only solution "to protect the basic health of all our children."

Fluoride proponents picked up a significant endorsement Thursday, increasing the likelihood that Portland will end its status as the largest city in the country that hasn't taken steps to fluoridate its water.

With Commissioner Nick Fish joining Randy Leonard in support, fluoridation will now only stall if each of the remaining three Portland City Council members votes no.

And that's an unlikely scenario. 4

A new Harvard study says 17.Aug.2012 07:59

Jody Paulson

fluoridation is *definately* a bad idea. It was published on July 20 in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives of the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.

"A review of some two dozen studies by Harvard University researchers published this month in a peer-reviewed federal journal suggests that fluoride added into water supplies 'significantly' decreases the IQ of children, leading to renewed calls by activists to end the controversial practice of fluoridation."

Just offer free flouride rinse 18.Aug.2012 16:51

Fred Bauer

Even the toothpaste tube says not to swallow, so they put it in the water we drink. They are not allowed to dump flouride in the river, so they put it in the water supply. When you point out the stupidity, they make you out to be a wacko.

Their strongest argument is that everybody else is doing it. (So it must be OK and WE must be out of step and behind the times, wallowing in ignorence).

The thing that really gets me is that they claim this is for the health of poor children. The hypocrisy is absolutely breathtaking.
