On April 25, 2012 the Portland Human Rights Commission (now part of the new Office of Equity) hosted a forum on human trafficking and its effects on the city and the country as a whole. This video is an excerpt from the full version of the meeting click here to watch full version held at the Portland Building downtown. A mexican immigrant tells of how he was forced into an illegal trafficking pipeline that moved immigrants against their will across the border to be used as slave laborers under torturous conditions. This man survived and escaped to live another day, as well as educate people by telling his story.
