This idea started when I thought about the "ghost bikes" on the side of the road for cyclists killed in traffic. I began to think about people who have been killed by cops and wondered if there is a somewhat universal memorial for these victims as well. Does anyone know of any, perhaps in other cities, or does anyone have any ideas about what might be an appropriate memorial? The ghost bikes don't seem to bother the city, so I was thinking going the graffiti route would be a bad idea because it is illegal and easily removed. So, any ideas?
Also, I think it would raise awareness about police brutality, but if you think I am overlooking something about this that may be problematic, I would love to hear about that too.
