Misplaced priorities

The government of the United States displays badly skewed priorities when it can afford to murder men who have done me no harm using Predator Drone and Hellfire missile technology while, at the same time, proposing to cut domestic postal and Medicare programs.

The US government's Predator Drone MQ-1 combat reconnaissance aircraft (cost $5 million) can and does regularly deliver a Hellfire missile (cost $68,000) at a speed of Mach 1.3 (950 mph) to murder a man in Afghanistan who has done me no harm.

But that same government seeks to cut spending corners by slowing domestic postal service and trimming Medicare coverage for Americans most in need of help.

Something is wrong in this picture.
