On Thursday November 10th, the first historic meeting of the Juneteenth Chapter of the Pacific Green Party of Oregon was held in N.E. Portland. The new chapter's second meeting is scheduled for 6;00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16th at the Reflections Cafe (446 N.E. Killingsworth).
Last Thursday, Woody Broadnax announced his decision to seek the PGP's nomination to run as its candidate in District #1. The Juneteenth Chapter of the PGP has three essential reasons for forming: 1.) The Chapter will seek to secure the party's nomination for Woody Broadnax and to promote it once secured. 2.) Woody looks forward to hearing more about which issues - local or national - that the N.E. community thinks should be prioritized. 3.) The new chapter will also be discussing possible tactics to promote those issues, so please come to contribute your thoughts.
At the chapter's first meeting corporate personhood, sustainable energy use, police brutality and child custody issues vs.family rights were discussed.
