Officer Botaitis arrested in Vancouver

Officer Botaitis has been arrested on felony charges in Vancouver.
James Botaitis has been a Portland police officer for ten years, but has now been arrested in Clark County accused of burglary-domestic violence and related charges of assault and criminal harassment. Botaitis's wife filed for divorce last week.

Botaitis was involved with the attack on James Chasse and was also named in a suit brought forward in 2009 in Multnomah county by Lyudmila Trivol, whose arm was broken during her arrest. Trivol claimed that Botaitis and other officers stepped on her back and pushed her face into the mud as her family watched.
