Call to Action: In Opposition of Mars Hill, Anti-Gay Megachurch

Before bored readers start playing devil's advocate by invoking Mars Hill's Constitutional rights to freedom of religion and freedom of speech, keep in mind the growing signs of fascism (according to Lawrence W. Britt):

1. Powerful and continuing nationalism

3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as unifying cause
4. Supremacy of the military

Freedom of religion and freedom of speech are cherished rights under the U.S. Constitution. However, the Mars Hill Church's credibility is severely undermined by its targeting a specific group of people as sinners who need to be convinced of the error of their ways in order to be "saved."

Whence comes the name "Mars Hill"? What an odd name for a Christian, Bible-based church! Mars was the Roman god of war.

Hate is a weapon— 'tool of force/domination'. Its far reaching effects are like 'toxic warfare for the mind'. It spreads like a disease... from 'Castles of Ignorance' and without RESISTANCE it creeps over the 'Walls of Hate'. All 'war fortresses' are built upon 'foundations of fear & myths, lies & division'. *Intolerance* for the 'Diversity of Others' is the disease. The hate is not impervious to the walls that it hides behind and cannot be contained. It spreads across the Land (and Sea) and infects others with thoughts of discrimination, division, and bigotry. Hate and 'spreading fear' is a tactic of War Dogma and Imperialism.

Building a foundation of Understanding, Love & Compassion for the struggles/oppression of others is a 'powerful tool' to use to combat/fight against the countless multitude of seemingly infinite negative effects that hatred/intolerance has upon the planet in this so-called civilized/advanced/progressive 'day and age'. It's up to all of us to CARE and do our best to stand together and fight against the many manifestations of hate and the many wars it creates. There is no fate—> destiny is what we 'Choose to Create'. We have FREEWILL always to help make a positive difference in the World.

We can build bridges of unity/inclusion and 'tear down walls that divide, exclude, and separate people'. Create freedom from oppression and tyranny by keeping the man-made institutions of church and state separate. People have the right to be free from 'man-made' creation of fear and judgment that is imposed upon 'others' (domination—> power & control). People have the right to 'freedom from religion' if they choose. People must have freedom from the persecution and oppression of both 'religion and the state'.

Both political and religious Institutions/dogma dictate and enforce 'belief systems' as a means of 'power & control' over populations. Religion by its very "nature" is not prone or inclined to 'change' or 'evolve' in any dramatic way if we look towards history as a teacher (history has a way of repeating itself lest we learn from past mistakes). Oftentimes religion is not open to new and 'progressive ideas'— like the acceptance of EQUALITY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL PEOPLE. Much of the time churches (and all various man-made institutions) are rigid in their 'belief systems' and are unwilling to accept real change or accept the *Equality of Others*. Not all churches though... there are some exceptions to the rule. Not all churches have the focus and AGENDA of 'DOMINIONISM'.

We Live in a *Culture of Dominance*. We need to help enable a process of liberation and transformation away from the status quo— away from 'thought enslavement society'. We have FREEWILL to change the World for the better with the focus being on 'Compassion for Others'. . . with the emphasis on the importance of 'independence of thought' and helping society to overcome ignorance and wake up to the interconnected issues and help people realize the connection of all human rights/civil rights/basic rights (and for that matter animal rights and justice towards them as well). We have FREEWILL to help all people realize their own connection and power that they have within themselves (through their attention & intentions) to realize their own connection to Mother Earth and understand the power each and every person has in helping the transformation and healing process of the planet to manifest.

Together we can ***Manifest a Destiny of Peace and Love***... not a future of more 'war and hate/intolerance' guided and enforced by War Dogma and Imperialism.

People need to be aware of the dangers of exposure to hate and toxic ideas spawned from the indoctrination/brainwashing from a corporatized/militarized/globalized world where everything is capitalized on for "profit" at the Earth's expense; a world that is fueled by an overload of not only mass 'corporate programming' but also 'dogmatic war programming' that much of the time is fueled by unquestioning nationalism/patriotism and is also fueled by jingoism/xenophobia/racism (fear of others who are "different"). Unfortunately, much of the time this pro-war energy is generated within the walls of religious/overzealous fanatical extremist institutions that promote war and cause the *flames of division* to accelerate/propagate.

War is FUELED by *dogmatic propaganda* that has leanings towards war tendencies. Extreme dogmatic/fundamentalist religious zealots are dangerous because they spread toxic messages of the belief in the acceptability of domination and "superiority" over others; as well as sharing messages of the belief that it is perfectly acceptable to *advocate an agenda of hate* with the purpose of inspiring people to 'shun, ostracize and exclude a designated cross section of society'... of their "CHOOSING". They believe that their *CHOICE* of actions—>(shunning/ostracizing/scapegoating/Villifying others) is perfectly acceptable and that it is within their rights to do so and should not be questioned but should be "tolerated" because even if they are spreading messages of hate it is still "free speech". Even though that 'promotion and endorsement of hatred' might ultimately have the end result of causing the death of many innocent people.

Because of being *made/forced to feel HOPELESS because of actions of ignorance by closed-minded people*—> Many people have paid the ultimate price of the 'sacrifice of their lives' as a result of the bombardment of hate/ignorance/intolerance directed at them. Those of us who are fortunate enough to have support networks around us (loving family, friends, etc.) are better equipped to deal with the personal attacks and cruel stereotyping and 'labels of hate' placed/forced upon us. Oftentimes it is an unrelenting assault of hatred, abuse and malevolence aimed at us... when things are at their worst (when oftentimes you feel unable to deal with the long term effects of the never ending barrage of derogatory words of hate (homophobic slurs) and bullying which oftentimes lead to unjust acts of violence & aggression towards us (actions have consequences)—> e.g., gay bashings or other kinds of hate crimes that oftentimes lead to death or heartbreaking suicides). There is nothing worse than being made to feel that you have no hope or being pushed to the point where you feel like you are at the 'end of your rope'. There is always hope so never believe that there isn't. ALL people's lives have value and ALL people are created equal—> to be led to believe otherwise is a cruel LIE.

Unless you've had to deal with it personally you don't have any idea how bad it can be or what it is like or how it can affect your life in such devastating ways or how it can make you feel completely hopeless and despondent because it seems there is no end to the abuse in sight. Not all of us have been lucky enough to have grown up with positive support to help in sheltering us from the storm of the *Assault of Hate* forced on us because of how we were born. Not all of us are lucky enough to have had loving people around us to help guide us through the rough times when the harsh reality of the world comes crushing down upon you and you feel a total loss of options and are made to feel "sub-human" and "worthless". When it seems all hope is lost some of us reach our breaking point because there is only so much adversity the human spirit can bear. There are times when you feel completely alone and are made to feel like a "reject/pariah of society". There are times when you are made to feel like a "misfit/defect" and that you don't deserve to live because you've been indoctrinated by hate dogma and 'outdated myths' to believe that you are an "abnormal" freak of nature (which of course is a TOTAL LIE). There are times when the *ignorance and hate* just seems unending and the resulting pain it causes becomes insufferable and completely intolerable to manage.

No one should have to be pushed to the brink because of their sexual orientation and no one should have to suffer being forced into the 'depths of despair' that this inhumane mistreatment creates. Nobody should ever be made to feel "dehumanized" and made to feel marginalized as a "second-class" citizen. Nobody should ever be made to feel like their life has no value, or that they are completely worthless because of the way they were born.

Nobody should be made to feel irrelevant—> we are all interconnected in the Web of Life. All of our lives have purpose and meaning. We are all here to help Heal Mother Earth.

No one should have to suffer being made to feel degraded and no one should have to suffer the indignity of being ridiculed, judged, stigmatized, and denigrated by being "evaluated" as being a person of no value—> a person's "value" judged by their very nature of being. . . a person's "value" judged by how they were born. Respect Diversity of Life and respect all peoples natural and instinctive need to love and be loved (We are ALL a part of NATURE and are ALL a part of the EVOLUTION OF THINGS— NO ONE IS EXCLUDED). Being gay/lesbian (LGBT) is not a lifestyle it is a life. There isn't a choice in the matter... at least there wasn't for me. I was born the way I am. It's no more a choice than it is for a heterosexual to be able to decide what their sexual orientation is going to be.

You don't say to a heterosexual person—> "Hey, so I heard you decided to make the lifestyle choice to be a "straight" person. I hope you've thought it through and I hope you're happy with your decision because you are going to have to live with it for the rest of your life and will have to deal with the negative repercussions and consequences that will result because of "your decision". You will have to suffer because of the "choice" you made. There might be a way to *cure your disorder* though so don't lose hope! I will continue to pray for you that God helps you to change your evil ways so you don't have to go to hell for eternity." <— That would be a completely ludicrous, illogical and CRUEL thing to say. The same as it would be if the roles/situation were reversed. Lying to someone and telling them they are going to "burn in hell" for how they were born is evil.


No one is "superior" or "inferior" to anybody else. . . All people are CREATED EQUAL. No more 'divide & conquer' through the use of hate & intolerance. We're all in this together in the pursuit of Total Earth Liberation, total Equality, total Justice, total Human Rights and Freedom for ALL. Exclude/Reject No One. We live in a "throwaway/disposable system" where even people are *cast out* and their lives not given the VALUE they deserve. EVERYBODY'S LIFE IS A VALUABLE RESOURCE AND WE ALL POSSESS THE CAPACITY TO MAKE THE WORLD BETTER JUST BY BEING HERE AND BY BEING ALIVE. DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU DIFFERENTLY AND TRY TO REMAIN STRONG AGAINST THE BLIND HATRED AND IGNORANCE THAT MANY OF US ARE FORCED TO ENDURE.
