From The Daily Astorian newspaper, Friday, August 19---paper website won't allow me to send url---
We contacted the organizer, who said the event was "nonpolitical", and that Israel is the "Silent Partner" in Iraq. She said that groups could rent the Camp Rilea facilities for $50. Oregon State Senator Betsy Johnson contacted the administrator at Camp Rilea, who told her, "as long as they are not advocating overthrow of the government", groups are eligible to rent meeting space at the US Army base. Which begs the question about the so-called "Tea Party"--isn't one of their stated goals is to dismantle the government(maintaining a "strong foreign policy", of course)?
