Cop VS Dog - Dog Dead

Cop shoots and kills dog at Max/Tri Met platform.
Do not have much detail so am asking ANYONE who has knowledge of this to please fill in the blanks.
What I was told: A rider and his canine buddy (Pit-Rott mix) got off a Max train(?) on Lombard & Interstate. Dog was laying down and when he went to get up a cop who was there shot and killed the dog. According to witnesses the dog was well behaved and NOT aggressive. Passengers on the Max who rode with the dog said the dog was not a problem during the ride and was calm. Kids were present when the cop decided to shoot and kill the dog. The owner was taken away in an ambulance, the cops claimed he was under the influence of drugs. Gosh, do you think he may have simply been distraught because his dog was killed before his eyes? IF the owner was on drugs, what does that have to do with a dog being killed?
Again, IF you know anything about this or were a witness yourself, please give more details.

Unfortunately, I witnessed this event.
I see this guy and his dog resting at the bus stop, when all of a sudden this cop pulls his cruiser over jumps out
and yells freeze. The kid kind of sat there like what the hell is happening. As the dog started to get up, the
cop fired a shot which appeared to break the dogs back. the 2 shot went through the lungs and was the lethal
shot (from my viewpoint). the cops ended up letting the kid go - i dont know if this is a case of mistaken identity
or what.

glad i was not caught the cross fire, bullets were flying.

Cowardly cops turn their guns to dogs now! 24.Aug.2011 20:28

Bill - So are you saying you saw nothing the dog did to provoke the cowardly cop into shooting and killing the companion animal? Were there just two shots fired or more? Did you get the cop's name or badge number or know of anyone who did? Thanks for responding to the original poster.

Un-fucking-believable. Sounds like there was NO provocation on the guy's part, not even so much as his dog making a fuss. This pig just pulls up, blows this poor animal away, and that's it - wow! Might anyone know the idenity of this cowardly, rotten-ass cop?

Different story on OPB 25.Aug.2011 07:55

Brian

Listening on the radio this morning OPB had the story that went something like this:

Trimet called the cops about a guy and an aggressive dog trying to board a bus? (they may have said MAX). When the police arrived, the pit bull lunged at one of the officers who was able to jump out of harms way. The dog then lunged at a second officer who shot it and killed it. The owner of the dog was arrested and was 61 years old.

But ... 25.Aug.2011 09:16

Den Mark

But who was OPB quoting, huh? Even msm showed witness contradiction of the police version.

we deserve the truth

brian, I saw and read the same coverage but all of the witnesses said the dog was friendly and was not a threat to any of the officers,so why was there a dead dog lying on the sidewalk with 2 bullets in its body?guess the police could say they saw a gun or he had a knife tucked in his collar but that wouldn't exactly work in this case.they could claim they felt threatened by a black man and his pit bull but all the witnesses said the same thing, the dog did nothing.i just feel so sorry for the dog and the man who loved and cared for him.even i have had dogs come running at me in parks barking and jumping but it never entered my mind to harm the dog.i do not have a pit bull and don't really care for them but do they deserve to be killed because of what humans have done to them?no.this officer needs to be held responsible for his actions which at the very least were inhumane and unjustified.

As officers were on their way to the call Radio advise that the Pitbull attempted to attack a person in the area.

Shortly after the officers arrived the aggressive Pitbull charged an officer and the officer shot the Pitbull and the Pitbull is deceased at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.

Lying, Trigger-happy Pigs 25.Aug.2011 19:17

The murdered dog's companion, Richard Cook, is often seen on Hawthrone. I myself have seen this guy and can say that i've never seen niether him nor his dog (named 'Sir' according to one person i spoke with just today) being mean or aggressive in any way ever. The woman i spoke to today says that she wittnessed the entire event. She told me that the guy was asleep on a bench, minding his own goddamned business. She also told me that the pig who gunned down the rott/pit mix started firing as soon as the dog rose up - while the guy was STILL asleep! I've since identified this pig's name as Offc. Aaron Dauchy, a 12-year vet of the Portland Police Gestapo.

Now, these filthy, lying PIGS come up with this utterly bullshit story about how the dog "had a history of being aggressive". These pigs knew that the community back-lash would be swift, so they're COVERING THEIR SORRY ASSES. Even though dozens of wittnesses who saw this [latest police killing] say that the dog didn't so much as bark before it was gunned down by the piece-o-shit cop Aaron Dauchy. What's ironic, is that Dauchy himself is the one with a history of aggression.

Hey Damos, 29.Aug.2011 03:40

don't even pretend you care about animals. You have been called out many times on your speciesism and speciesist language, and yet you made sure to use the word "pig" numerous times in your posts to name a crappy person - despite the fact that this has numerous times been pointed out to you as increasing the unconscious/societal negativity towards animals. Actual pigs - you know, the ones YOU eat - are harmed so terribly in this society they really don't need more crap thrown at them by comparison with those humans you despise. You really suck and you're unconscious.
