Notice how the news outlets report on Seattle or L.A. radiation levels? New portable 'radnet' station monitors in Sacramento? How come they rarely mention Portland?
Look at these maps. The Japanese fallout goes straight to pdx! and we are the only city on the west coast with beta radiation spikes; which are unexplained.
Also scientists have said that the monitors filter one cubic meter of air per DAY. And that to properly detect and measure how much radiation is in a cubic meter per hour the equipment needs to collect several meters a day, preferably at least one per hour, not day. In other words the equipment is incredibly insensitive. Maybe that's why they aren't finding radiation. They aren't looking in the places where it actually is. (nope! not under the bed, doesn't exist!)
