ACTION ALERT: DISTRIBUTED DENIAL OF SERVICE
TARGET: American Legend Corporation (Seattle Fur Exchange)
START: Tuesday, March 15th 2011 at 8AM PST (11AM EST)
END: Wednesday, March 16th 2011 at 6PM PST (9PM EST)
Over 50 million animals are killed and used for their fur every year,
for nothing more than simple vanity and status symbols.
Animals raised for fur are not protected under the Animal Welfare Act or
the Humane Slaughter Act.
85% of animals used for their fur are raised on fur factory farms. On
such farms animals are held captive in tiny wire cages that inhibit the
animals? natural need to roam wild and free. They are often underfed and
dehydrated. This type of confinement and maltreatment causes serious
psychological disorders and documented behavioral abnormalities such as
neurotic pacing, self-mutilation and cannibalism.
Because of arbitrary industry standards, it takes on average 40 animals
to produce a single fur coat. For instance, it takes 60 once-living
mink, 18 once-living fox, and 100 once-living chinchilla.
Generations of selective inbreeding in order to encourage specific fur
characteristics has resulted in generations of genetic deformities such
as deafness and immune system deficiencies.
Killing methods on farms include auto-exhaust suffocation, neck
breaking, poisoning and ?anal electrocution? (wherein animals have
electrodes forced into their genitalia or anus and mouth).
Beginning operations in 1898, the American Legend Auction (formerly
Seattle Fur Exchange) is the largest trading auction of animal pelts in
North America and is the oldest fur auction in the world. In just a
matter of days, over $100 million and 2 million pelts are traded between
over 20 countries. It is the industry?s lynchpin.
American Legend has recently been a target of the Justice Department for
antitrust investigations. Perhaps this is because the fur industry has
been hit hard over the last 50 years and this is the only way to
continue being economically viable.
We want your help to finish this industry off. Instructions for helping
can be found below:

Below are a couple options for helping us take down the American Legend auction.
THIS ACTION IS TO START ON: Tuesday, March 15th 2011 at 8AM PST
We have provided an ECD (Electronic Civil Disobedience) script to assist in the denial of service. You can download the link from
http://rapidshare.com/files/452418445/seattlefurecd.html.zip (zipped version)
Once you have obtained the script (seattlefurecd.html), open your favorite browser and open the html file. Usually something like "File > Open File..."
It will start running as soon as you open it, so please wait until the schedueled time to start the action.
Navigate your browser to http://seattlefur.com and just keep hitting refresh. This will help flood their connection pool, and assist in removing the auction from the internet.
Doing this action over TOR will likely result in failure and only hurt the TOR network. Coffee shops and other open wifi networks work best.
PLEASE TRY TO HOST THE ECD SCRIPT IN MULTIPLE PLACES.
