Well clearly, the CIA is well at work in Egypt! Suddenly, pro-Mubarak "supporters" in the thousands are clashing with peaceful protesters in Egypt! After more than a week w/ MILLIONS demanding Mubarak step down ASAP, ALL OF A SUDDEN all these pro-Mubarak "supporters" just come out of no-where. All of a sudden, we see violence being ratcheted waaay up! This is soo goddamned CIA - this has CIA written ALL OVER IT!
News reports early today are that pro-Mubarak "supporters" have shown up out of no-where, all of a sudden, to clash with peaceful protesters & reformists in Egypt. ALL OF A SUDDEN AFTER MORE THAN A WEEK OF SILENCE, with millions of frustrated Egyptians & reformists demanding that the U.S.-backed Zionist-capitulating despot step down IMMEDIATELY, suddenly all these so-called "Mubarak-supporters" just show up in the streets. After over a week of PEACEFUL protests calling for the American/Israeli puppet to step down - NOT IN SEPT. BUT NOW - with the Egyptian army mostly holding their ground & the violence & killings being perpetrated ONLY by the Gestapo state police so-far, suddenly these violent Mubarak supporters are causing havoc. This is soo nakedly, soo classic text-book CIA HITJOB! This has CIA OPS in big fat glaring red letters written all over it! And we know this b/c Barack Obama [was ordered] to send long-time CIA hitman Frank Wisner over to Egypt just a few days ago.

Have you ever heard of Frank Wisner? If the answer is no, i don't blame you - i've never heard of him until last week. This guy is MAJOR CIA! Wisner also served for ENRON under the Bush regime, has been a "diplomat" for various countries, is connected to French right-wing president Nicolas Sarkozy by marriage, etc. This guy has a very long list, just examine his wiki-page & see for yourself. Word is, that these pro-Mubarak thugs have actually been orchestrated by the govt. & that they're largely employees of the private oil & energy companies over there. For comparison, think of the hundreds of Republican thugs who showed up in FL election offices, being violent, demanding the re-count be halted in Nov. 2000.

The Egyptian people are largely educated (many of them with Masters or higher, yet unable to find work in their own country), so they're NOT falling for this bullshit. I just hope the rest of the world isn't stupid enough to fall for it, either. Don't forget, President Anwar El Sadats' 1981 assassination [prior to Mubarak taking power] was a CIA hitjob.

It has been a real treat reading Indymedia during this uprising in Egypt. Half of the analysis is blaming the US for destabilizing the Mubarak regime, and now people are accusing the US of helping pro-government supporters.

All of this, mind you, without much in the way of good evidence or incentive.

What is it Indymedia? Is the US the bad guy here, or the bad guy?

Egypt protests: America's secret backing for rebel leaders behind uprising
The American government secretly backed leading figures behind the Egyptian uprising who have been planning "regime change" for the past three years, The Daily Telegraph has learned.

The American Embassy in Cairo helped a young dissident attend a US-sponsored summit for activists in New York, while working to keep his identity secret from Egyptian state police.

On his return to Cairo in December 2008, the activist told US diplomats that an alliance of opposition groups had drawn up a plan to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak and install a democratic government in 2011.

The secret document in full

beware the smoke... beware the mirrors... beware of "fortune tellers" 02.Feb.2011 14:48

I predict

The cable is interesting and l am nut dissing it, just approach it level headed

2008 was a while ago

And vague predictions and assumptions don't equal 'the facts'

So an activist kept his ID a secret (whoops! now the cats out of the bag)

That explains everything (not)

The info should be read and contemplate, but please don't use fortune telling for fact

Good points 02.Feb.2011 18:50

These are excellent points and it just goes to show me what happens when I'm away from community radio and computers. It can be so easy to believe the headlines.
I'm surprised there are so many comments who think this is a fantasy.
Maybe that's why we have yet to do anything here in the US.

There's no fantasy about it. The sudden appearance of Mubarak "supporters" is a text book CIA job. Plainly obvious, so far as i'm concerned. Plus, there's plenty of precedent for this sort of thing happening before. Just think of every country straddling the equator over the past 50 years that's either fallen into chaos or had their democratically-elected leaders murdered RIGHT after U.S. "advisors" went to that country...
