Now you can generate individual letters of protest of these new "enhanced" security procedures by the Transportation Security Administration to every member of the House and Senate, as well as Barack Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano in one minute, announces Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, who spearheaded the historic "Send Congress a Pink Slip" campaign that buried Congress in 9 million letters of grievance and another campaign that helped free railroaded Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campeon.

PETITION TO STOP
'ENHANCED' AIRPORT SCREENING
TECHNIQUES NOW!

 http://www.wnd.com/airportscreening

To: Barack Obama, Janet Napolitano and all members of the U.S. Congress:

Whereas, the Transportation Security Administration recently commenced "enhanced" airport screening procedures that include invasive and humiliating full-body scans that result in the display of a graphic image of each passenger's naked body to be scrutinized by a TSA agent - a virtual strip search;

Whereas, the Transportation Security Administration also began, at the same time, to subject all who choose not to undergo the indignity of the full-body scan, new and more aggressive ("enhanced") open-hand pat-down procedures to be used on men, women and children, which include manual contact with their breasts and genitalia;

Whereas, requiring such a degrading and invasive search of passengers and flight crews utterly ignores the Fourth Amendment, which says, "'The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated";

Whereas, full-body scans produced by backscatter X-ray machines create radiation potentially harmful to frequent fliers and airline crew members, prompting the world's largest independent airline pilot association - the American Pilots Association, representing about 12,000 pilots - to strongly warn its members to avoid the new screening;

Whereas, generating naked images of minor passengers arguably amounts to the creation of illegal child pornography;

Whereas, these new procedures, being massively unpopular, humiliating, immoral and subject to horrific abuse, are certain to result in an increased aversion to flying on the public's part, which in turn will further hurt the airline industry and cause the country as a whole even more economic difficulties:

---------------------------

As the letter being sent to officials in Washington states, under the new screening protocols, passengers are subjected to a virtual "strip search" by being required to undergo a humiliating full-body scan, resulting in the display of a graphic image of their naked body to be scrutinized by a TSA agent.

If they choose to "opt out" of the full-body scan, they are forced instead to undergo the same kind of aggressive pat-down that criminals and drug-dealers get, including direct manual contact with their breasts and genitalia. Children are not exempt.

While such degrading and invasive searches certainly violate passengers' Fourth Amendment guarantee to be "secure in their persons ... against unreasonable searches and seizures," the generation of naked images of minor passengers arguably amounts to the creation of illegal child pornography.

Moreover, backscatter X-ray technology is known to produce radiation that is potentially harmful to frequent fliers and airline crew members, which is why the American Pilots Association, representing about 12,000 pilots (including almost all of American Airlines' pilots) has strongly warned its members to refuse the full-body scanning.

This humiliating and degrading new program is already massively unpopular, and obviously subject to horrific abuse. As such, it is certain to result in a significant decline in air travel by Americans at a time when neither the airline industry nor the country can afford another economic crisis.

"Don't wait on taking action," urges Farah. "I am participating in this bargain program - and I urge every single American to do the same. Let's recreate the success of the 'Pink Slip' program and other similar efforts and return sanity and decency to our airports."

Participate in the "STOP AIRPORT HUMILIATION" program now.

ROFL! 25.Dec.2010 14:27

Mr. ROFL

hahahahha, out of all the issues in todays world this seems trivial.
who cares if ppl rich enough to waste money on plane tickets and fossil fuels get violated and searched.
I say let em keep enforcing fucked up laws until no one wants to fly anymore. this form of transportation is limited in it's number of years anyways. just keep watching the fuel prices go up up and away :)
and again, rofl at people having their "rights" violated.
this happens to thousands of ppl every weekend when they go to clubs or parties, and no one complains,
Deal With It!!

First they groped the traveling rich. 26.Dec.2010 22:47

ROFL? just wait.

Mayhaps it is rich people who can afford to fly...and yet they were doing pat downs on public transit in Philly. It will spread.
