Over two years since anti-fascists released a large collection of photos from a (then-)Oregon neo-Nazi, Rose City Antifascists are now pleased to present another batch of images. This new and even larger collection of images is almost entirely taken from 2010 get-togethers of Volksfront International members in Oregon. Volksfront International remains the most significant neo-Nazi organization in our state.
We wish in particular to draw viewers' attention to Casey Banyas, Justin Martin and Nick Cheshire, shown L-R in the first image of Part One of this collection. Casey Banyas formally began as a "prospect" for Volksfront soon after his release from prison earlier this year; Banyas currently represents the organization in Lane County. Justin Martin is one of the key leaders for Volksfront on a national level. Nick Cheshire is highly active in the Portland Volksfront chapter alongside Martin. Also of note in these galleries is Jeffrey Jay Thomas, now displaying a Volksfront membership patch on his flight jacket. Rose City Antifascists exposed Thomas in July of this year, and at the end of that month a coalition of anti-racists marched to his apartment building as part of a nationwide anti-fascist Call to Action. The new photo albums also contain many images of members of Immortal Pride, a Volksfront-affiliated musical act which we wrote about in September.
Some of these photographs also show Canadian members of Volksfront, who travelled to attend a Portland get-together. Not shown in any of the new photographs is Brandon Vespermann AKA "Big Red," who kindly supplied our 2008 batch of images. Since we last wrote about him, Vespermann has moved from Oregon to California, and has graduated from being a "prospect" of the organization to being the organization's state representative for California.
Rose City Antifascists encourage anyone with additional information about the individuals pictured here to contact us directly. Our voicemail number is (971) 533 7832. You may also email fight_them_back [at] riseup [dot] net.
