Vegan Sadness

My ex-vegan best friend stopped talking to me and called me his enemy, because I used words like "enslavement" and "holocaust" to describe the suffering and abuse of animals. He calls this ad hominem attacks, and says my use of those words make him prefer to go out and eat meat, rather than become a vegan again. When I sent video links of animal torture and explained that "enslavement" and "holocaust" are not metaphors and not exclusively used to describe historical events involving humans, he threatened to call the cops on me. I am so sad. I am not a descendant of people who died in the nazi holocaust, nor do I know of any ancestors of mine who were enslaved in the south, so I don't use these words publicly. However, the definition of these words clearly fits animal torture and death too, not just those aforementioned historical events. I have been raped and sexually assaulted though, so publicly I do feel comfortable comparing the forced impregnation of breeding animals and the manhandling of cow breasts for the dairy industry to rape and sexual assault. My ex vegan friend is also highly offended at this, and gave me an ultimatum-- either change my mind of this issue, or I would lose him as a friend forever. It was impossible for me to change my mind, so he stopped talking to me! I am so sad. What can I do?

He said he thinks it's great that he's a vegetarian and not a vegan, and that he's perfectly fine with people eating meat if that's their choice, because he just wants to "let people be." What can I do? I have no other friends.

It is from cow's utters that milk is drawn. Personally, I think it's fit for only calves.
