G20 Arrestee Benefit show, August 21st 8 pm. All Ages $5-10. At the FBK 6272 Ellis South Avenue, Seattle, Wa 98108
In June of 2010 G20 leaders met in Toronto. Seventeen people where arrested whom are now facing trumped up and politically motivated allegations including conspiracy. Many where targeted in the streets and for organizing events surrounding the G20 some arrested at gun point and pre-emptive raids. Some of the seventeen people where infiltrated by two undercovers who had been organizing with them for the past year and a half. These attempts by the state to control and deem certain individuals as terrorists by openly organizing, is to criminalize dissent and weaken our courage of acting as a community. Solidarity is a continuation of acts before and after arrests. We need to keep organizing and draw strength even in the face of repression.
