9.11 investigation | imperialism & war

No Justice, No Peace

The previous administration's role in the events of 9-11 must be examined.
It's been almost a decade since the world-changing events of 9-11. Over the years we have been shown time and again that the people in power at the time have lied repeatedly about things like weapons of mass destruction, yellowcake uranium and "Mission Accomplished." They have personally OK'd torture and signed bills and executive orders eviscerating our civil rights. Yet they themselves have never been held accountable, never had to testify under oath about what happened that day, despite some very suspicious actions:

9-11-01: An interesting day for the President:  http://www.historycommons.org/essay.jsp?article=essayaninterestingday

Obama says we need to move forward. Does that mean we excuse the lies, the treasonous outing of undercover operatives for political gain, and simply not examine very suspicious behavior of the previous administration regarding the events of 9-11? Excuse me, crimes are, by their nature, always committed in the past. How can we move on where there is no justice for those who may have been hurt or killed by the previous administration's actions?

Never Forget 18.May.2010 12:35

truth @dVocate ~<3

In pursuit of global liberation— advocate *radical change* away from the system/status quo. Because "business as usual" thinking is destructive to the Earth on so many different levels and relates to so many issues that we all face. Everything is interconnected. 'Radical change' is necessary if we ever want for there to be any kind of livable/sustainable future. The idea is that with truth comes freedom. But ideas need advocates, and outlets. Ideas need to be shaped into words that people can read, hear, and understand. The struggle for freedom, justice and a better World never ends. Thanks for remembering Jody.

Accountability is everything- especially for actions that led us into war. There are so many questions that remain unanswered. We were lied into war and there's no denying that. We were lied to and betrayed. We can't move forward by forgetting about the past. If we do... history will just repeat itself. As it always does. We need to demand the truth. Building a future on 'lies of the past' is ill-conceived and self-destructive. Lies are toxic & have negative consequences —for people/animals/environment/Earth. People deserve the truth in 'all areas of inquiry' because in truth we will find *solutions* to the problems we face (and not just the truth about 9/11, because it's bigger than this alone, it's about the need for truth about everything in life, it's about the big-picture). Truth is always the first casualty of war. Standing for 'truth' means standing against cruelty, injustice, intolerance, and oppression. Truth, justice and freedom are more than words... they are perspectives. The corporate mainstream media avoided asking any relevant questions with regard to what really happened on September 11th, 2001 and they continue to be complicit by not doing so. The corporate media is "controlled & manufactured". We all have freewill and the power to choose to see through & beyond the "spectacle" and see things for what they really are.

"Those who cannot remember the past and learn from history are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana

"Whoever controls the past controls the future." - George Orwell
"During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." - George Orwell

"People shouldn't be afraid of their government, governments should be afraid of their people." - V for Vendetta

In the pursuit of globalization/corporatization/militarization by the "powers that be" there is a never ending quest for global 'power & control' over everything at all costs (collateral damage means nothing to them). To them war is 'business as usual' and they seek "profit" in it. The lives of innocent victims/planetary destruction is not relevant to them because 'concern & consideration' just stands in the way of their bottom-line which is just money $$$. They consider everything that stands in their way (for war) as just being "disposable". In the process everything is being steamrolled/bulldozed/tanked over. It's time to unplug the war machine that targets innocent people (collateral murder). It's time to end the war on against the planet— nature, animals, and the environment. The war on against everything that matters in life. The war against the Earth itself. It's as if Mother Earth is made to be the "enemy" by the way we treat her. There is no RESPECT. The world is dominated/enslaved by a 'system' that is based on 'lies'. It's time to see through the lies/myths/illusion and unplug from the "machinery of oppression and exploitation". By attacking the old, obsolete system on all fronts & using a variety of tactics I believe ultimately we will be able to collectively alter the path we are on. We no longer have the "luxury" of living in denial about the issues we face in life. Ignorance/indifference/apathy is not bliss— it's just dangerous. We need to consider the "cost" of our so-called progress of "modern society/civilization". What we do to others we do to ourselves. What we do to the Earth we do to ourselves. . . everything is connected.

What we do to the Earth we do to ourselves. Freedom is eVerything.  http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2010/02/397409.shtml?discuss

V for Vendetta montage (great movie- eVerything is connected)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7OuHU8U-1E

You mentioned "Mission Accomplished." The mission was war... and they accomplished what they set out to do so I suppose to them it was a great success. Especially since it appears the criminals got away with it. There needs to be accountability for war crimes. There needs to be accountability for war criminals. . . for liars that knowingly led us into war for power & control, for war profit/money and to gain resources from disaster capitalism. O-peration I-raqi L-iberation (OIL) $$$$$ Never-ending "global warring for oil/resources in the age of global warming". The planet is on the verge of ecological/environmental/ecosystem collapse and the status quo is still continuing with "business as usual". Consider the latest disaster with the oil spill- it's tragic, appalling, vile & obscene. The Earth is alive and the planet is being murdered. We need to RESIST and stand up against the damage caused by transnational corporations/the military industrial complex/the state/Imperialism/globalization. Everything is connected.

Resist the 'system of lies' that is destroying the Earth. We need to demand the truth in 'all areas of inquiry'. Another World Is Possible.

See through the myth & illusion, the power & control of hegemonic corporatocracy— corporations + military industrial complex = global domination $$$. The merging of "corporate greed" and "war for profit". Everything is connected. Stop the Earth from being exploited for "profit". Respect the planet and cultivate compassion for all life and strive to live in harmony with Nature.

The corporatized/globalized/militarized world is based on lies. It's time we saw through all the lies, myths & illusions that have "historically" guided us towards war, time and time again. It's time we choose a new path that will ultimately take us towards world peace. Another world really is possible; we just need to make it become reality.

"Question authority, always question authority, and demand the truth... Now, I'm no bleeding heart, okay? But... when you're walking through the streets and you step over someone who might be dead, do you ever stop to think, 'Wow, maybe our system doesn't work.' We are the facilitators of our own creative evolution. We can do better than this, people." - William Hicks
(I myself am. . . a "bleeding heart")

"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion." - Albert Camus

"The old appeals to racial, sexual and religious chauvinism and to rabid nationalism are beginning not to work. A new consciousness is developing which sees the earth as a single organism and recognizes that an organism at war with itself is doomed. We are one planet." - Carl Sagan

"When the power of Love overcomes the love of power. . .the World will know Peace." - Jimi Hendrix

Choose to be FREE. BE the ACTION. Inspire to CREATE a different reality— together we can change the 'system'.
