Postmodernism Is Dead

Postmodernism is dead.
Postmodernism Is Dead

Postmodernism is a swollen dead fish.
It just lies on the beach all bloated
and stinks.

The ocean waves crash in the surf
and water rushes up and runs over the
carcass.

The skin becomes shiny, and then
the sun dries it, and dullness again.
Nothing else ever happens.

The Postmodern 27.Apr.2010 17:16

Jean-lFlrancois Lyotard, 1979

I define posmodern as incredulity toward metanarratives. To the obsolescence of the metnarrative apparatus of legitimation correspons, most notably, the crisis of metaphysical philosophy and of the univeristy institution which in the past relied on it. The narrative function is losing its funcotrs, its great hero, its great dangers, its great voyages, its great goat. It is being dispersed in cloiuds of narrative langueage elements. The first principle underlying our method as a whole: to speak is to fight.
