Portland Fruit Tree Project presents "Young Fruit Trees: Selection, Planting, & Care"

Portland Fruit Tree Project is hosting a workshop this Saturday (3/27) on how to select, plant, and care for young fruit trees. Read article for the full announcement and how to sign up.
Young Fruit Trees: Selection, Planting, & Care! (hands-on workshop)
Saturday, March 27th, 10am - 1pm.

In this hands-on workshop you will learn the basics of fruit tree selection and planting in order to create the conditions for optimal fruit production & tree health! This fun workshop will be an opportunity to gain a basic understanding of the various factors one should consider when selecting a fruit tree for a given site and then how to best plant the selected tree. Also, participants will learn some basic steps for young (0-3 yrs) tree care.

Pre-registration is required. This workshop is free of charge for tree owners who have registered fruit trees with us. Otherwise, the class fee is a sliding scale from $8-20. In addition, a limited amount of scholarships are available.
