According to ODFW spokesman Rick Hargrave, seven sea lions were trapped today [3/9/10]. Of those, five were allegedly on the government hit list - the list of animals who have been "observed eating at least one salmon." As a result, according to Hargrave, all five were to be put to death some time today. We were unable to confirm with him when the event took place - he said he "wouldn't know till the end of the day." At the end of the day, of course, he was unavailable.
