Another TV Station worth watching::on Wednesdays "GRITT tv

This station hosts progressive intllectuals and tells it like it is:
The System does not serve the people.

Hopefully it will next year.

I appreciated the truth spoken on Grit TV yesterday.

"The System works against the people."

It is able to manipulate the economy, put people out of work and create wars of choice.

The corruption of the last ten years:

the war profitering,and torture and

abuse, the powerful

corporations who buy politicians and rig

elections, the lack of accountability of

the Privately owned for profit

misnnamed "Federal Reserve Corporation"

(should be Central Bankers:People's

Rapists)

and pay themselves bailouts, Goldman

Sacs that bails out AIG, who helped

create the bubble that burst) to steal

more pensions, homes and property from

those just making it, because they are

overwhelmed by the theft of their labor

in just paying taxes.

And this morning, a vote to give the

insurance companies a great windfall.

Where is the change we can believe in?

The geatest failure of President Obama

is instead of demanding accountability,

he's continuing the coverup, and

and marginalizing the rights of the people more-

not less.

"Dred Scott Redux: Obama and the Supremes Stand Up for Slavery Written by Chris Floyd Friday, 18 December 2009 14:18 While we were all out doing our Christmas shopping, the highest court in the land quietly put the kibosh on a few more of the remaining shards of human liberty. "

"It happened earlier this week, in a discreet ruling that attracted almost no notice and took little time. In fact, our most august defenders of the Constitution did not have to exert themselves in the slightest to eviscerate not merely 220 years of Constitutional jurisprudence but also centuries of agonizing effort to lift civilization a few inches out of the blood-soaked mire that is our common human legacy. They just had to write a single sentence."

"Here's how the bad deal went down. After hearing passionate arguments from the Obama Administration, the Supreme Court acquiesced to the president's fervent request and, in a one-line

ruling, let stand a lower court decision

that declared torture an ordinary,

expected consequence of military

detention, while introducing a shocking

new precedent for all future courts to

follow: anyone who is arbitrarily

declared a "suspected enemy combatant"

by the president or his designated

minions is no longer a "person." They

will simply cease to exist as a legal

entity. They will have no inherent

rights, no human rights, no legal

standing whatsoever -- save whatever

modicum of process the government

arbitrarily deigns to grant them from

time to time, with its ever-shifting

tribunals"

US: Guantanamo Prisoners Not 'Persons'

by William Fisher, December 16, 2009

In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's

refusal Monday to review a lower court's

dismissal of a case brought by four

British former Guantanamo prisoners

(who were not charged with any crimes,

but tortured and prohibitted from

praying while imprisoned ) against

former defense secretary Donald

Rumsfeld, the detainees' lawyers charged

Tuesday that the country's highest

court evidently believes that "torture

and religious humiliation are

permissible tools for a government to

use."

The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in

Washington, D.C., had ruled that

government officials were immune from

suit because at that time it was unclear whether abusing prisoners at Guantanamo was illegal. "

"Channeling their predecessors in the

George W. Bush administration, Obama

Justice Department lawyers argued in

this case that there is no

constitutional right not to be tortured

or otherwise abused in a U.S. prison

abroad.

And still further: Barack Obama has now

declared, openly, of his own free will,

that he does not consider these

captives to be "persons." They are,

literally, sub-humans. And what makes

them sub-humans? The fact that someone

in the U.S. government has declared

them to be "suspected enemy combatants." (And note: even the mere suspicion of

being an "enemy combatant" can strip you

of your personhood.)"

Corporations are persons

Persons are prisoners

According to the U.S.Supreme Court

"A Bill of Rights is what the people are

entitled to against every government,

and what no just government should

refuse, or rest on inference. "

Thomas Jefferson

"The central bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an Enemy to all banks discounting

bills or notes for anything but Coin.

If the American People allow private

banks to control the issuance of their

currency, first by inflation and then by

deflation,

the banks and corporations that will

grow up around them will deprive the

People of all their Property until their Children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered"

Somebody has to fight against the rise of Fascism in this country.

Serving U.S troops could face prison if they fall pregnant while active

By Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 5:45 PM on 20th December 2009

A top US commander is threatening

soldiers who fall pregnant on active

service with jail.

Under the new policy, troops expecting a

baby face court martial and a possible

prison term - and so do the men who made

them pregnant.

And the rule applies to married couples at war together, who are expected to make sure their love lives do not interfere with duty.

Usual US Army policy is to send pregnant soldiers home from combat zones within 14 days.

But Major General Anthony Cucolo, who runs US operations in northern Iraq, issued the new orders because he said he was losing too many women with critical skills.

He needed the threat of court martial and jail time as an extra deterrent, he said.

All troops under his command are covered by the extension to the military's legal code

- the first time the US Army has made

pregnancy a punishable offence."

How dare a commander endanger a soldier's baby with terrible threats, possibly resulting in a handicaped child?

t's a known fact in past wars the brass looked the other way when GIs impregnated women of the countries they were serving in.

Now American women who happen to be GIs will go to jail if they get pregnant?

That's a real killer of the Holiday spirit

and a terrible killer of the Bill of

Rights!

After some searching found this:

 http://thinkprogress.org/2009/12/21/women-military-pregnant/

mndnpao says:

I appreciate the discussion about one aspect of a general order I have applied here in the combat zone of Iraq. The true intent of my directive cannot be easily understood from one or two brief articles, so I would like to clarify my rationale for the directive. In this 22,000 Soldier Task Force, I need every Soldier I've got, especially since we are facing a drawdown of forces during our mission. Anyone who leaves this fight earlier than the expected 12-month deployment creates a burden on their teammates. Anyone who leaves this fight early because they made a personal choice that changed their medical status -- or contributes to doing that to another -- is not in keeping with a key element of our ethos, "I will always place the mission first," or three of our seven core values: loyalty, duty and selfless service. And I believe there should be professional consequences for making that personal choice. My female Soldiers are absolutely invaluable, many of them holding high-impact jobs that are often few in numbers, and we need them all for the duration of this deployment. With their male counterparts, they fly helicopters, run my satellite communications, repair just about everything, re-fuel and re-arm aircraft in remote locations, are brilliant and creative intelligence analysts, critical members of medical teams, in all areas of logistics and personnel support across this Georgia-sized piece of Iraq north of Baghdad, and much more. Since I am responsible and accountable for the fighting ability of this outfit, I am going to do everything I can to keep my combat power -- and in the Army, combat power is the individual Soldier.

"To this end, I made an existing policy stricter. I wanted to encourage my Soldiers to think before they acted, and understand their behavior and actions have consequences -- all of their behavior. I consider the male Soldier as responsible for taking a Soldier out of the fight just as responsible as the female Soldier who must redeploy. To ensure a consistent and measured approach in applying this policy, I am the only individual who passes judgment on these cases. I decide every case based on the unique facts of each Soldier's situation. Of the very few cases handled thus far, it has been a male Soldier who received the most severe punishment; he committed adultery as well. Though there have not been any cases of sexual assault, any pregnancy that is the product of a sexual assault would most certainly not be considered here; our total focus would be on the health and well-being of the victim and justice for the perpetrator. I do not expect those who have never served in the military to completely understand what I have tried to explain above. Recently I was asked, "Don't you think you are treading on an intensely personal topic?" As intensely personal as this topic might be, leaving those who depend on you shorthanded in a combat zone gets to be personal for those left, too. This addition to a standing general order is just a small part of our overall effort to foster thoughtful and responsible behavior among our Soldiers.

Proudly serving you, Tony Cucolo Major General, US Army Commander, Task Force Marne"

If the army is so damned concerned about

loosing highly skilled people then they

should include a clause in their

contract that says something like this :

failure to serve out

the term of service because of personal

choices that endanger comrads will

result in the recruit's having to pay

back the cost of their training.. Just

like a college loan.

It seems the Army is advocating abortion!

NO MORE TAX FRRE RIDES IN AMERICA!

IF WE want to change the SYSTEM

We have to demand

"Equality in Responsibility"

We must insist on No Tax exemptions for

a privately owned Fedral Reserve

CORPORATION-

How dare ten banking families who own

the Federal Reserve Corporation pay no

taxes on the Federal Reserve

COREPORATION's profits?

We must insist on No Tax exmptions for

religious institutions even more,

since their accumulation of wealth,

gives them immense power to persue

their goals of world domination.

The Progressives won the Progresive

income tax, now make it apply to all

COORPORATIONS and

Institutions that are currently TAX free!

The end of Tax Exempt status for the

privately owned Federal Reserve

Corporation and Religious institutions

that want to DOMINATE the world,

would make a Very Happy New Year!
