It looked like she almost was pushed/thrown over the railing into traffic

As a mother I'm so angry I don't have words foul enough to describe the contempt I feel for them. If this was my daughter, those cops would be nothing but ghastly lamp post ornaments when I was through with them.

I am risking my life trying to get word out to people about this.

The Portland police poison people they don't want as witnesses and the hospitals are more than willing to lie for them.

You can see this poor girl being shot in the leg, you know she is injured, yet I am very sure some doctor rubber stamped a document saying she is fine.

Who does one report it to when you catch a doctor falsifying documents, police falsify documents all the time, why be surprised when doctors do the same?

The Police don't care about law or the People they are supposed to protect.

I would resist an officer if that officer made it known they were going to kill me, wouldn't you?

So don't tell me there is no reason to resist, sometimes you don't have a choice but to resist or die and that's a fact.

The S,O,B, had a gun in his hand and she did not, and you can tell there is no audio of that cop telling her it's a bean bag gun, I would have presumed I was going to be shot the way those cops behaved and I would most likey resist if being treated the way she was treated.

The Portland Police murder for sport and don't care if people know it because there actions are rubber stamped as "justified" and they "know" no one will hold them criminally liable.

I'm hearing a lot of nonsense justifications in this thread. Justifications for multiple police officers ganging up on a child, tackling her to the ground, adult men pressing her face into the concrete, kneeling on her back, all the while pointing a bean bag gun at her (which many 12 year olds might not be able to differentiate from a gun that shoots bullets), then finally, coldly, shooting her while she was on the ground with a man on top of her. She was fighting, clearly terrified, for her life.

A few posters have chimed in remarking on her physical size as justification for multiple grown men with guns and all sorts of other weapons perceiving this girl as a threat. Spare us, you cowards. Developmentally, children are not capable of processing consequences in the same way that most adults do. Their brain has not fully developed yet (not to mention their muscle mass). Even simple commands have to be communicated differently. Who hasn't had a child in their life say, "NO" or "WHY?" in response to a direct request? That is kids job, to question. Adults job is to set and explain boundaries, and one of the most important boundaries to set is HURTING CHILDREN IS WRONG.

If police officers don't understand how to interact with human beings, they should get the hell off the streets. There are a lot of rebellious 12 year olds in Portland, who might say NO to you power-hungry thugs in uniform, they might even try to get away when you tackle them--especially seeing as how your definition of "tackle" includes fracturing ribs, puncturing lungs, humiliation, and denial of medical care.

I hope those kids get away from your clutches, and I hope they never forget the lesson you taught them about policing.

I read that this cop has filed a stress-related injury report. It said this is common when a cop is in "trouble." Sounds like he's trying to get out of this too easily.

I'm really skeptical that the tv poll tells us anything at all, except that a lot of cops sat around watching tv and had nothing better to do that night.
