November is here, and true to the season, things are slowing down a little bit. But we have some things happening to make you nice and cozy. Read about them below! One thing worth of noting here: Brenna, our revered open mic emcee, can no longer commit to doing it. So as of right now, the open mic is cancelled. Want to see it continue? E-mail us and let's talk about it! By the way, all events start at 7pm unless otherwise noted.
GAME NIGHT! // 11.3
Just a little reminder that we have a game night on the First Tuesday of every month! Eat some noodles, have a nice glass of Herbucha on tap and play some Risk, or chess. Or maybe try to beat Richard at Scrabble? Good luck with that one!

This singer-songwriter is on tour and will be playing at the café with some other folks. Come support touring musicians! It's not cheap, so bring a couple of bucks to donate.
ANTI-IMPERIALIST FILM SCREENING // 11.10
The Portland Anti-Imperialists host a movie night on the Second Tuesday of every month, usually something good followed by a facilitated discussion. You should come hang out.

Halloween may be over, but this Shicky Gnarowitz performance is going to be spooky as hell. Why? Because it's on Friday the 13th! Ooooh! Spooooooky! But seriously, they're awesome, so you should come check them out. Yup.
QUEER CRAFT NIGHT // 11.17
Come join Kernan as he hosts Queer Craft Night on the Third Tuesday of every month! Last month, super posi scales were made. This month, you ask? Bondage bracelets. Maybe leave the kids at home for this one.
PRISONER LETTER WRITING // 11.24
On the last Tuesday of every month, Nona hosts Prisoner Letter Writing. This is important because people on the inside really need your support. They need to know that they're not forgotten. They really do remember it when they get out. If you don't believe us, go talk to Josh Harper at the Wayward Café in Seattle, and he'll tell you all about it! Starts at 8pm. Materials are provided, but maybe chip in a buck for stamps.
NO-THANKSGIVING STAR WARS MOVIE MARATHON! // 11.27
Ok, we all know Columbus was a village-plundering, culture-destroying genocidal imperialist jerk. Why celebrate that shit? Instead, come watch the original Star Wars trilogy and eat dragon noodles. That sounds like a MUCH better idea, don't you think? Starts at 12pm, there will be intermissions and stuff. This is not a joke. Come!!
As noted above, the open mic night, which usually happens on the last Sunday of each month, is cancelled. Do you want to take it over? It would require showing up on time, keeping a list, maybe playing a few songs, and most importantly, promoting the event at other open mics.
