Bus to Black Mesa/Big Mountain

Every Thanksgiving week for at least a decade has brought many volunteers to the lands of traditional Dine resisters to coal mining and forced relocation. During this time, people work for the elders chopping wood, repairing fences, roads and corrals, helping these hardy people prepare for winter in their long struggle to hold onto land and life.
Blessings All

My longtime friend, Rick Fellows, has a bus that has been to Chiapas,
Guatemala, El Salvador, Cuba and Big Mountain. He is willing to drive it
again to Big Mountain if we can get at least 15 to 20 passengers who are
committed to helping the traditional Dine Elders with chopping wood, hauling
water, herding sheep, building corrals, fences, repairing roads and other
tasks during Thanksgiving week. Please let me know if you are interested in
participating in this human rights venture.

Bringing attention to the beginning and ending result of coal mining operations in northeastern Arizona is a critical under reported issue. Mountain Top Removal and coal strip mining are intertwined.

The bus will leave from Olympia, WA and travel along the west thru Portland,
Eugene, Ashland and into San Francisco, to Santa Barbara and over to Flagstaff.

See www.blackmesais.org for further information.
