I am a healthcare worker, a caregiver specifically, and i've gotten word that our employer plans to make the H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine mandatory. Is this legal? Everything that Ive read so far says that it is legal & that they are actually giving you a choice to get the vaccine or be terminated? How can this be?
no. i spoke to my works union rep, in which im also a caregiver, and he said that your employer cant force you to take the vaccine. and this still applies to you even if your work has no union.
