It does not recognize nations, governments, races, religions, creeds or class. Our understandings conclude that these are false, outdated distinctions which are far from positive factors for true collective human growth and potential. Their basis is in power division and stratification, not unity and equality, which is our goal. While it is important to understand that everything in life is a natural progression, we must also acknowledge the reality that the human species has the ability to drastically slow and paralyze progress, through social structures which are out of date, dogmatic, and hence out of line with nature itself. The world you see today, full of war, corruption, elitism, pollution, poverty, epidemic disease, human rights abuses, inequality and crime is the result of this paralysis.
This movement is about awareness, in avocation of a fluid evolutionary progress, both personal, social, technological and spiritual. It recognizes that the human species is on a natural path for unification, derived from a communal acknowledgment of fundamental and near empirical understandings of how nature works and how we as humans fit into/are a part of this universal unfolding we call life. While this path does exist, it is unfortunately hindered and not recognized by the great majority of humans, who continue to perpetuate outdated and hence degenerative modes of conduct and association. It is this intellectual irrelevancy which the Zeitgeist Movement hopes to overcome through education and social action.
The goal is to revise our world society in accord with present day knowledge on all levels, not only creating awareness of social and technological possibilities many have been conditioned to think impossible or against "human nature", but also to provide a means to overcome those elements in society which perpetuate these outdated systems.
An important association, upon which many of the ideas of this movement are derived come from an organization called " The Venus Project" directed by social engineer and industrial designer, Jacque Fresco. He has worked nearly his entire life to create the tools needed to assist a design of the world which could eventually eradicate war, poverty, crime, social stratification and corruption. His notions are not radical or complex. They do not impose a subjective interpretation in their formation. In this model, society is created as a mirror of nature, with the variables predefined, inherently.
The movement itself is not a centralized construct.
We are not here to lead, but to organize and educate.

It's up to all of us to be the 'spark that ignites'. We all have the freedom to choose to make a 'positive difference'/proactive contribution for the world. It doesn't necessarily have to be the "Zeitgeist movement" per se. (this is only my opinion) Although I did find both movies to be very informative and enlightening (a great tool for knowledge building- a major spark). I highly recommend for people to watch them both. Anything that will assist in breaking people's consciousness away from the brainwashing of war and corporate consumer mentality. The first and most important step in 'transformation' is respect for NATURE. We need to stop the natural world from being exploited and destroyed.
The ideas expressed in the two "Zeitgeist" documentaries are just one example of the many alternative media sources that assist people in helping them to become informed of 'the big picture'; to counter the present day mainstream corporate media culture which facilitates a "war & corporate mindset". We are all products of what we watch and are exposed to. The merging of the two justifies in many people's minds their insatiable mass consumerist ways. The merging of "corporate greed" and "war for profit"— both of which are united and are destroying the planet by creating war and exploitation worldwide. The obtaining of "resources"/Oil War by any means necessary. The ceaseless stream of "corporate" views, ideas, and consciousness is toxic to not only us but the entire environment and well-being of the planet.
We need to break away from the 'corporate control of our minds'. We are being lied to— as is clearly evident from the failure of the media; it was complicit in leading us onto this path of never ending war. The media is "controlled". People need to actively work at becoming informed and enlightened in this age of mass-hypnosis. Alternative and independent media are an invaluable resource. We are all the 'media'. People need to trust in their own innate ability to discern the truth about things— free from the influence of corporate mainstream media lies. Truth is not told— it is realized. We need a different way of thinking and seeing the world; *free from denial* of events of the past (war atrocities), accepting 'truths' as self-evident (i.e. false flags- pretexts for war). We need to accept history for what it is and learn from it so that it won't be repeated. It can never be forgotten. Denial about history is dangerous.
We live in a "war culture". Just look at popular mainstream entertainment and movies. Example- The movie "Transformers" is a movie supporting and promoting the military industrial complex. People flock to see it and take their children. Everything makes an impression and influences. We are all products of our environment. It's time to 'change the culture'. The Earth is exploited and exposed to war for monetary gain $$$ WHY? It is at the expense of the planet and all life living on it. Exploitation at the expense, suffering, and oppression of the 'innocents' around the globe. It's insane. It's all for money, power & control.
Transform the World with Love
"Powerful analogy to what happens in the chrysalis when the caterpillar transforms into the butterfly— something we will need to do over these next few years, or, in my opinion, risk extinction. What happens in the chrysalis is that new cells appear that will eventually become the butterfly— and immediately the old cells attack them, reacting to them as if they are intruders. But, in the end, the old always passes away, and the butterfly prevails." ~ Whitley Strieber
"The Earth does not belong to man; Man belongs to the Earth. This we know. All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. Whatever befalls the Earth befalls the sons of the Earth. Man did not weave the web of life; he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself." "We are a part of the Earth and it is part of us." ~ Chief Seattle
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." ~ Anatole France
"We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace." ~ Albert Schweitzer
"As long as there are slaughterhouses, there will be battlefields." ~ Leo Tolstoy
"One of the most dangerous things that can happen to a child is to kill or torture an animal and get away with it." ~ Margaret Mead
"The animals of the planet are in desperate peril. . .without free animal life I believe we will lose the spiritual equivalent of oxygen." ~ Alice Walker
"When the Earth is sick, the animals will begin to disappear, when that happens, The Warriors of the Rainbow will come to save them." ~ Chief Seattle
There's a war on against the animals— a war against nature itself. For real "hope" we have to see things for what they are. For true "sustainability" we need to change our way of looking at life on planet Earth and realize our 'oneness' with it. . .with all life; everything is connected. What we do to the animals, trees (the entire natural world) we do to ourselves. What we do to other people we do to ourselves. We are not separate— we are nature. An organism at war with itself is doomed. Together we can make a difference in the 'positive evolution' of the World.

Put nature and the Earth before money & profit $$$ - "Naqoyqatsi" Life as War
Focus on NATURE and the cost of Empire (*see this film- very eye opening). It puts things into perspective. 'Resistance' against imperialism is natural.

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." ~ Albert Einstein
"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." ~ George Santayana
(Studying history is necessary to avoid repeating past mistakes — denial of history is dangerous and has definite negative consequences for the future)
Imagine - Lennon [A Perfect Circle cover]
Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984) - George Orwell
(Metaphor) In the end the butterfly prevails— we are all butterflies. Together we have the power to change the culture and thus change the world. [butterfly effect] Create an 'environment of love' by respecting nature and all life.
Inspire to Create a 'Revolution of Consciousness' with the focus on Truth in 'all areas of inquiry'.
