Did anyone else catch the T.V. news item where this local company located in Bingen, WA (across the Columbia River from Hood River) is manufacturing dozens of the unmanned camera-loaded spy drones.
Same kind of tiny toy plane was used to help get the captain away from those pirates.
Cost? About $100,000 each to buy one. Dirt cheap by military standards!
The company has 500 employees, about equal to the entire population of the tiny town of Bingen.
This "unmanned" technology is getting quite a workout.
We have Creech AFB in Nevada sending larger drones to Afghanistan & Pakiston, now small drones are heading out to the ocean to "catch" pirates.
