Video Repoart Back from Recent Economic Town Hall

Video of both Plenary Sessions from the recent Economic Town Hall which attracted over 800 people to the First Unitarian Church on January 31, 2009. The event consisted of two Plenary Sessions and a number of Workshops. Also in this report is an announcement of an upcoming Public Access interview with one of the Town Hall Plenary speakers.

Featured speakers for the second Plenary Session were:
Barbara Dudley, Adjunct Professor, Portland State University;
Tom Leedham, Secy/Treasurer Teamster Local 206;
David Bacon, Labor Journalist;
Jo Ann Bowman, Executive Director of Oregon Action.

This Town Hall was followed up by a Community meeting on February 18th. At this meeting about 125 Citizens broke up into groups of 10 to brain storm on what the Community can do to implement the insights and ideas put forth at the original Town Hall.

This second meeting was facilitated by Barbara Dudley, one of the speakers from the Second Plenary Session. She will appear on the live Public Access program, "A Growing Concern," this Friday evening, March 6, 2009 at 7:00 on channel 11, to discuss the outcome of that meeting and provide viewers an opportunity to join in this movement.

Phone calls will be taken about 7:45.

Program repeats on Sunday on channel 23 at 10:00 and again Thursday evening on channel 22 at 7:00.
