Camp Homebound Gets Tickets 2.11.09 Tuesday evening, on the State Capital Steps
Four people were sited
The police will be back the next day, as will the vigil (most likely)it will be right around 11pm when the police will start their "enforcement"

They are claiming that after 11pm no one can be on the state capital steps ?
They may be wrong on that?

Citizens trying to film the vigil were told to delete their cell phone video by the state police, for NOT notifying the police that they were recording (sic)audio - (see video #3)

Please make a call to the Governor in support of not sending the National Guard to Iraq

you dont have to do that, i thought everyone payed attention to the case in portland earlier this year where some guy took an officer to court over the same thing and the officer lost.

or am i wrong?

does anyone have clarity on the issue?

Update from the next day (evening) 13.Feb.2009 02:44

Joe Anybody iam@joe-anybody.com

I was down by the steps this evening at 11:00 and it was pretty quite.
I sign and a tarp covering the vigil few and two empty chairs was all I could see from the sidewalk
I didnt want to disturb anyone ... so I hung out for a while
Beside the two state police cars that were parked across the street and me walking back n forth a few times ...that was about it, when I went there this evening to document any comments, actions or illegal (?) enforcements!

The cops did (see me pull up) and after I was out I noticed that one of the cars had pulled up behind my car ... I am sure to run my registration.
It was nice and "Big Brotherly" of them, to check on my car
After about 3/4 of an hour... I decided to head back to Portland... it was pretty quite ...

I was called 30 later by Michele who said she was sleeping when I was there ...and she wished she could of met with me ... She reports that the police (after I left) went on the steps to ask if there was going to be any planned gathering or were "more people showing up" ...
She replied that "she didnt know"

It was raining pretty hard as I drove back...
Michel is on Night 22 of a "water/vitamin only" hunger strike

I stopped on my way home to get something to eat

Officer, I Am Recording Audio 13.Feb.2009 12:32

Joe Anybody iam@joe-anybody.com

mrdeath ...it was I joe anybody who did that
The law (policy) really only applies to Portland

that is why when I walked up on the Capital steps ...

I informed the State Troopers I was "Recording Audio"

The same law that I contested in Portland needs to be contested on the state level
My opinion is the person filming "would probably win" ...but you will be fighting the system and maybe have your film or camera take / ticketed ...?

The way around getting your film or camera taken is to LOUDLY say "Officer, I am recording video & audio"

Feb 15th update 16.Feb.2009 00:09

Joe Anybody iam@joe-anybody.com

I was informed that on Sunday while Michel went to church on her 25th day on a hunger strike and anoter vigil participant was staying with the vigil, there at the Capital ...yet he was across the street and while he wasnt paying attention for a short while ...all their Protest Vigil stuff was confiscated. ... Just another taxing blow on the soul for peace,
I have made a web page for my videos on the Homebound Camp on this link below:

VIDEOS: four clips from Feb 14th Oregon's Birthday - "Day 24 of Hunger Strike" 16.Feb.2009 10:22

Joe Anybody iam@joe-anybody.com

I spent the afternoon at the State Capital in Oregon on 2.14.09.
I documented Michel Darr who is on Day 24 of a Hunger Strike.
As she gathered signatures to Keep The Oregon National Guard Home.
I have four videos from Valentines day / Oregon's Birthday / Camp Homebound
I documented Camp Homebound's efforts to collect signatures and as they passed out information to hundred of Oregon Birthday party guests.

Michele Darr who is on Day 24 of not eating (in order to bring attention to this serious issue) was handing out brochures to Keep The Oregon National Guard Home faster than they could print the flyers.

As I arrived (video one)... I find that the State Police are following her around like a shoplifter in Kmart

I still have more footage and a short interview to edit, which I will post here latter tonight.

I am posting all my Camp Homebound video on my website here:

12.14.09 Oregon's Birthday & Valentines Day & Day #24 of Fasting

"Michele Darr is Interviewed by Joe Anybody across the street from Camp Homebound"

I have the opportunity to ask Michele a few hard questions
This video speaks for its self, I ask a couple hard questions

I am hopeful and optimistic for this campaign and for Michele.
I see the power of the people in Michele
She explains in this video, why she is fasting <in her selfless way>
She tells about the Guard members and Veterans
who stopped by to "thank her"
she tells me about her children safety.... ,
and why putting her life on the line is what we are "asking of the national guard" do
