The story of stuff

Stuff Explained. This is a must see 20 minute video--it puts the whole economy of stuff--into simple but spot-on perpective.

Wow! This is a great explaination of how the production, consumption and disposal of stuff works. Good data, clear images--for the first time, I understood externalized costs.
It also shows why consumption is not the central function of our government--and this is not a good thing.
Share with everyone you know.
For the me, the great gift is this was sent to me by a person who is very conservative in his politics.

JR for posting this. In a nutshell (visually) this is what's going on. Makes things crystal clear.

Everything is about greed, consumption, materialism; we are consuming the planet. Stripping all the resources and leaving an empty shell... The so-called "system" is held up by an artificial "man-made mountain" of lies. It's time to TEAR IT DOWN. It's time to get back in touch with the natural world and RESPECT THE EARTH AND ALL LIFE. We're fucking it up. "Capitalism/corporatism" is life in excess and cannot be sustained. It's time to create not destroy. We have a choice, we can change the 'focus'.
