Victory!

Watershed has forbidden Flowform from hosting the Indymedia benefit. So it is POSTPONED until we can find another venue large enough. Most likely not til February.

The Watershed? 19.Nov.2008 11:13

?

Isn't that the place where the owners were told that the police were coming to raid the place later, and the owners didn't tell anyone? I remember a post on this site about the police raid, and the owners of the Watershed used that as an opportunity to try to sell studio space, and then started excusing the police violence.

Why would anyone want to go there anyway? I can't believe that place is still open. I'd never go there. I care about my safety.

bad

Sorry to hear it was canceled. I've heard of a number of people having trouble at the watershed. Better use a different venue next time. My guess is that the watershed is not reliable.

It was not the owners, but the guys who have the lease. I know a couple people who rent space at that building and they are cool, but the guys who run it are opportunistic and greedy. I would not trust them or deal with them.

Thats fucked up to plan an event for a long time then have the venue forbid it just before it happens. That dead letter guy must have some sort of axe to grind. Maybe he doesn't like indymedia or something?
