WILD/FERAL HORSES BEING SLAUGHTERED ON PUBLIC LANDS

This is notification to the public that wild feral horses are being SHOT AND KILLED on public and private lands in Grant County, Oregon in a location known as RUDIO MOUNTAIN which is located near Kimberly, Oregon. Prior to the shootings these bands of horses were being captured by ranchers and the BLM and being sold at auctions. This is unlawful activity PLEASE HELP US STOP THE RUTHLESS MURDER OF MUSTANGS. Grant County is designated as an Open Range County. The horses are being murdered because ranchers that hold grazing leases on public land grazing allotments claim the horses are a pest and they are devouring and destroying grass that the cattle need so the ranchers can profit from the beef. If this blatant murder of mustangs bothers you please attend one of these public meetings and demand that this activity be stopped at once. Public Meetings/Open Houses are being presented to the public regarding plan amendments for the John Day Basin Resource Management Plan area. Please tell BLM that you support Alternative 1 No Action/No Change for this planning process. Alternative 1 No Action/No Change will allow the general public to continue to monitor secluded locations on public land where this criminal activity occurs. Other Alternatives will extremely LIMIT the general publics ability to monitor these secluded areas of public land and will allow more privatization of public lands which will result in all types of unseen criminal activities. The meetings are as follows:

TONIGHT November 12, 2008 at the Senior Center located at 2037 Douglas Street in Forest Grove, Oregon from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
