The human heart cannot be denied. Will never be silenced. Will beat louder and louder until it deafens the ears of those who refuse to listen to the truth. ~ Margaret Cho

I personally went through what the people in California are going through now back in 2004 when I was married here in Portland, then Measure 36 passed and I was in "marriage limbo" for a year until my marriage became "null and void", illegal, illegitimate. I learned from the local tv news that it was stripped away and watched people spewing their hatred at me and the person I love. What a sick, sad spectacle that was. What 'right' do people have to "vote" on whether or not my partner and I have equal rights?!?! Now I'm reduced to being a 'second class citizen' and have partial rights with the domestic partnership certificate. THERE IS NO COMPARISON. We still celebrate our marriage anniversary March 4th 2004 and always will. It may not be legal in the 'eyes of the state' or in the eyes of hateful people, but it meant more to me than anything else in my life. . .and it always will. You can't "vote away" love.

WE ALL DESERVE THE FREEDOM TO MARRY. Let go of the fearó same sex marriage is not a threat to anyone or anything. The so-called "gay agenda" is that we want equality. EQUALITY AND CIVIL RIGHTS FOR ALL. NO "SECOND-CLASS" CITIZENS. EVOLVE BEYOND THE 'HATE AND FEAR' AND END DISCRIMINATION NOW. HAVE COMPASSION AND RESPECT TOWARDS OTHERS.

The reVolution is the eVolution of the mind.
